It rained and the winds blew in from the NorthWest and, so far, we've had 10.5mm of rain but, as it is still raining, the rainfall total may well go up. So, it's raining, the winds are gusting to around 10-12mph, the temperature is 50f and the pressure reading is 984hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

6.5 Deg C in my garden this morning, with the wind chill I need 2 sweaters on to work out there. With a greenhouse fanheater in my garden polytunnel kept in to 11 deg C min. overnight.

      I've lit the stove.

Mrs Scrungee has 2 fleece sweaters on and a thick, hooded woollen cardigan, and she's mainly indoors.

The BBC "light rain showers with moderate breeze" forecast is wildly innacurate, as the sky has turned black, the wind started blowing stuff around and there's claps of thunder.

I was hoping to walk to my plot a torch a bonfire a bit later on. I don't want it to get any bigger as the last one was so huge I scorched my plums.

Just had thunder, lightning, 2 power outages, loss of internet and mobile signal and a torrential hail storm that would have shredded any courgettes and runners, but luckily mine weren't out as it's been far too cold.

BBC forecast still showing "light rain showers with moderate breeze".

Showery most of the day with a little sun. Wonderful display of Swallows and Swifts late afternoon still going on. They have not been too plentiful the last couple of years but things are looking better. Cool but i have been out on my bike. I will keep fit if it kills me.

My brother, who lives in north London, warned me that a 5 minutes hailstorm just pruned his basil plants quite drastically.
I suspect we will be next, but I am not quite sure how to protect the plants, some plastic sheets will have to do..
