Morning everyone, woke up to the sound of raindrops , it's pelting down out there!!

That's a shame @shiney , hope it can be replaced OK. We had a roof pane slide out of place and smash earlier in the year too, although ours is old too it's not a wooden one so all was easily fixed.

The weather has been beautiful here and I am spending most of my days outside and not on here.

Just had to ring 111 think my dads got a water infection , The nurse was really helpful by putting me and my mum on the phone even though we are in two different houses, I’m hoping the doctor has been now. Have a nice day all and I’ll update you later

 

Oh dear, not nice ,sadly I'm always getting them...inherited from my Mum!! Other people tend to belittle the discomfort they cause .... Hugs to your Dad.

 

Morning! Listening to the wind waking and ranting and threatening. As I often call family in Canada early eg 3 am, I am always awake early and fade away mid afternoon. Energy with the CFS/ME is like gold dust so taking things easy. Just me and 2 of the cats abed with me and knitting ( face masks and ear savers) as the storm gathers. I made soup yesterday so that is my food ready. Have a lovely day all

This being 5 hours difference sure puts me behind the crowd! I feel like I've missed half the day already

@Upsydaisy and @Flumpy I don't know what a water infection is and hope it is something that gets cured easily!

I'm starting my day with cutting down a couple of purse patterns. Remember the one I showed the other day? Well, it's just so much bigger than I am used to so I am reducing the pattern by 25% and I have another pattern that looks like it needs scaling down before making. And loads of other puttering to do as well including getting some bread baked.

I've still got to get the one pump outside working. It runs on solar power drawing water from the rain barrel up and then fills the receptacles in the capillary watering system in the bigger greenhouse. I have two of these pumps. One is going dandy and is already feeding the two small greenhouses but the other is being stubborn.

I found out why my primroses are failing to show more colour - the big bunnies are eating them. Saw them this morning whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. Oh well, they are pretty much harmless otherwise so live and let live. Although I wish they liked weeds - then they would save me that chore!

@Islander77 I admire your patience. I haven't the serenity to sit and knit. I'm more of a sewer. I have a bunch of fabric samples that I will make up into masks when and as the mood hits. What part of Canada do your relatives live? Have you been over to visit or do they come your way?
