@shiney thank you for the explanation. Now I know why they used to call it "making water" when referring to a wee! I've heard cranberry juice is also a good preventative.

Morning all, it’s dry here at the moment but we had a good poor down in the night.

My dad is on Antibiotics now, we will spoil him when things are back to normal.

 

Good morning everyone, late today as I had a bad night and so laid in for a while. Amber is good because she is getting old and therefore sleeps a lot. But I did get up and get her breakfast. She is back asleep again.

@moyra yes, the option of not having to jump out of bed after a restless night is really nice.

@Upsydaisy I just realized that I said my Dad's birthday was the 21st of last month but it is really today- I think all of that drudgery of mask making addled my pate! Usually his birthday fell on the first day of summer. He's been gone 16 years. I'll call my sons and wish them a happy Father's day as they are both good Dads

I've got more weeding on the lawn to do this morning and my beloved Corrie has three episodes runnin and there are at least 3 commercial breaks per show of about 4 minutes each. A perfect time frame to go out and pull the weeds in a square foot.

I didn't get any bread baked yesterday as I decided to work on some quotes for a client. I don't see her until Tuesday but I decided that I'd get that job out of the way and off my mind. Today I bake. Going to make bread with chillies and walnut bread. The walnut bread is super when toasted and a big blob of marmalade on it - yum!

Morning Lori....enjoy memories of past birthday celebrations you shared with your Dad.

 

There are so many funny memories coming to mind. Such as my Dad bouncing back and forth on his feet when helping wash the dishes. I now know that it was him trying to put off visiting the loo ... hands in warm water effect! I knew when he was going to "shoot the moon" in a game of hearts because he would start whistling! All sorts of fun stuff.
