Go Outdoors set to call in administrators

I've been wondering how camping/outdoor retailers would be coping. Still spent a few hundred pounds on outdoor stuff I can still use, but the camping and fishing lockdown may have finished them.

But with reduced competition, I don't believe low inflation forecasts. Stagflation?

I can't say I am surprised, they must have been struggling with being forced to close, but then to be honest they can't have been in a good place beforehand - they were in something of a niche, and most folks will head straight for Amazon or Ebay for stuff like that.

Doctors warn of organ shortage as lockdown cuts fatal accidents and violent crime

And there's still tens of thousands of 'excess death's over and above the official Coronovirus death rate.

GO Will beat the price of anything sold Amazon by 10%. I wait until a competitor is having a sale or a promotion on what I want, then get a further 10% off at GO. The only problem is they no longer beat prices at Millets, Blacks, Activeinstinct, Millet sports, etc. as they are now all part of the same (JDS) group.

Ah it is indelicate to have NAKED TOILET ROLLS! Like the Victorians who put table cloths over their pianos so their NAKED LEGS do not show!

Or maybe folk have cats who adore unrolling toilet rolls.... there are some hilarious youtube items...

I really hope this virus has a calendar, bearing in mind we are now being told what will happen in August:roflol:.
First they scare the S*** out of everyone then they say, its ok dont be scared.
As they seem to be coming out of lock down based on the calendar I'm still confused as to how serious the whole thing is.

We are coming out of lockdown because its costing too much, end of.

I still say they know more than we are being told.

The level of incompetence in online posts is outstanding:

"It's long been known that viruses can't survive heat and UV - there was an article in this very paper a few months (or aeons) ago, about how the recovery rate of TB (and other, probably) patients was better when they were put outside, which used to routinely happen. All wrapped up, in their beds.

This is why it's so unutterably pathetic to see people walking down the street, in gorgeous weather, or sunbathing, wearing a mask.

Why is winter the flu season????

Honestly. There really are some imbeciles around - does nobody know anything any more?"

What absolute nonsense misinformation is being spread around, TB is a bacterial infection, not a virus!

"Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection spread through inhaling tiny droplets from the coughs or sneezes of an infected person. It is a serious condition, but can be cured with proper treatment. TB mainly affects the lungs. However, it can affect any part of the body, including the glands, bones and nervous system."

Does CV survive in a domestic freezer, if it does we could all be storing up some problems.

If it dont, it seems a good way of sterilizing object like clothes that have been tried on in shops.

That's an interesting one, because I had direct experience of virusy Brugmansias becoming healthy when exposed to temps over 30C. Apparently, though, the CV is resistant way beyond that?

Most of them will be using steam to sterilise them and leaving hanging in a separate room for over 24 hours. The steam they will use is from a hand held steaming gun used a lot in clothing establishments already for steaming garments when they're hanging up.

The UK and the whole of Europe (and probably most of the world) have effectively been potless for decades. Think about it - we used to build infrastructure in this country ourselves, now we borrow the money from goodness knows where in the world and/or get them to build it. We've spent decades putting off the inevitable by selling stuff off (from our council houses to public buildings and even our gold reserves) and now there is nothing left to sell.
