Sounds like a bit of a fiddle regarding freezers. Ours is frost free and I just wipe it occasionally to ensure it stays nice and clean.

@alana what a a lovely day to look forward too.....have a great time!:)

We have a meeting with my Dad's solicitor this morning.

We've had all the Estate Agents valuations in now for our parents property so will begin to instruct them to place it on the market.....such a a sad and horrid task to do.

Today vacuumed the downstairs, i dry my lavender in paper bags and then sprinkle some of it onto the carpets before vacuuming it makes it smell nice for a bit.

Yes it is but i can't have a self defrosting one, don't get so much space inside and it costs more to run it.

My kitchen is tiny as is this whole place. "Kitchen" over here means dining/sitting room and there is barely room to turn round. No room to swing the proverbial cat. One blessing of only getting groceries every two weeks is that I can run stock down to a viable level. Just that with the M.E I am not reliable about being even conscious for the length of time it all takes. I pushed it this week and was ill all night and not good the following day.
And the drawers do not come out..

            BUT IT IS DONE!

            But it is done! ALLELUIA!

The freezer has that grid outside the back too for diffusing heat build up. The shelves are metal racks that are individually chilled and that is what the little tubes on their bottom sides are for. Refrigerant flows through them rather than just in the walls of the cabinet.

How old? That is a good question- I could look up the receipt but I think it's about 10 years old.

I like being able to see everything on the shelves as they sit. And every 18 months really isn't a lot of work. But it is a good suggestion :)

Today I've got a client meeting (masks in place) and a few other easy things to do before the rain starts this afternoon.

My rain barrel solar water pumps are both working beautifully now so I don't even have to water in the greenhouses - lazy Lori!

My father in law had a small stroke a week last Sunday and has been unwell since having funny turns daily, so I’ve been going over every day as my mother in law is disabled and tube fed, so not been able to do much except go there and my house work etc (hence my lack of time online)

Hiya @Logan cant get help without paying a fortune for it because they have money, he is also stubborn and won’t have strangers in their home, I’ve always tended to mother in laws needs like showering dressing etc and cleaning/ironing pre feed tube, so I just add feed tube to the mix now too for past 17 months, I have also been sorting out mother in laws Medication too cos he was getting forgetful and confused a few years ago, so now I sort his too. They are a wonderful set of in-laws so it’s nice to be able to help them out but heartbreaking at the same time because mother in law is their in the mind just not the body and father in law has deteriorated so much this past year physically and now obviously his mental health side is a problem. We will get there I had arranged with doctor for a nurse to come out and take his blood pressure today or tomorrow because he keeps going dizzy and collapsing too, so wondering if the aspirin, plus the higher statin level they gave him at the hospital is affecting his blood pressure. I’ve decided I don’t want to get old it’s too stressful :old::rolleyespink:

Hi @Telmadee oh i see, they're very lucky to have you and yes it could be his meds that's the problem, can you look at the instruction paper that come with them? might be able to see the side effects.

I’ve looked at each medication he takes and all day may cause nausea and dizziness but with the aspirin he only has to take them until Sunday and then he is on something called clopidogrel which is to help thin his blood preventing further strokes or heart attack. It’s so sad because when he has passed out on the floor my mother in law can’t move to be able to help him so she feels like she lets him down it’s awful. He has always been so independent. Thank you for saying it but They aren’t lucky to have me I’m the lucky one having them, my father in law calls me his angel in big boots (because I wear dr martens most of the time) hahah.

Defrosting the freezer. I am spared this task. Daughter Amanda insists upon doing it. Mine is an under the worktop Hotpoint. We remove the two wire drawers and the contents of the fast freeze compartment and also the bottom storage area. Then using a couple of towels to soak up the water. Out come my steam machine, a pint of water in the tank and switch on. It soon boils and then using the spray jet, the icebergs are soon reduced to water, (idea to keep some, as it is now distilled water, useful in steam irons and topping up car batteries. No time at all and the drawers are back, door closed and......here's to the next time. A friend of Amanda's is a domestic appliance engineer. He sats. The No frost freezers are very hit and miss. Repairs can cost a bomb.

Now onto today. The temperature has been too much for me. Strange really. I have always worked out in the open and no ill effects. Since I was diagnosed with a cancer in 2014. I can't take the heat. I am constantly plagured with what's it called when you itch and come up in a rash? Hives. That's it. Also I appear now to suffer from hay fever. My GP prscribed a histamine for the hives. One tablet and it damned nigh killed me. It was too strong for a person of my age. So I stick to what I know. I studied homeopathy and so I have a well equipped medicine cupboard. I take just one Urtica urens tab 30c and within minutes the rash has calmed down etc.

What els today. Oh yes. I looked in on another garden forum. That gets me a slap on the wrist. Naughty Michael. A member of that was asking about a rose problem. Another member replying mentioned, having ticked this other one off. And said. There is not a plant pathologist on the forum etc. I was really tempted. However, having experienced the under current of that forum. Mike kept sthum.

Now at this late hour. Rising from my computer chair. I noticed the pot plant, Maranta (prayerplant) had a couple of lenghty bits, so part snapping a couple of cocktail sticks to form a V. I pegged the beggars down. This plant must be 30 yrs old at least. It was a cutting given to Val.

Now another tipple and a look at youtube. Love thy neighbour. Nite nite. xx
