I really like the bird. Reminds me of me in the morning with hair wisping out everywhere!

Hi @Victoria, thank you for the compliment. No it's not a stupid question. :) When it's a portrait (for want of a better word to describe the above) the background is often left unstitched. The fabric used for this particular artist's work has been printed with random dots which break up the white background a little.

Thank you @CanadianLori. :) He's a rather scruffy Pheasant but all his wispy bits tend to give him character. I tend to suffer from 'bed' hair too.

This is for my niece who is a theatre nurse at Grantham District Hospital and her scrubs are maroon. Hopefully, this little bear can see her safely through her working day. I have put her name on the back of her scrubs as they all look alike from the front. He'll be off to Grantham in the morning.

                He's lovely Jenny. :)

Thanks Logan. :) I haven't for a few decades either. It's hard on my eyes now, and with a fourth in progress it will be the last one. I'll switch to tapestry.

Knitter here. Addicted fully and wholly.. Intend to be buried with needles and yarn in hand…

Only photo I have here as I lost so many with my last computer, is this one of some of the hats to send to our babies in India .

Working "ear savers" for health care workers now. CIMG2760.JPG

Time to admit that the colourful cushion covers were a trial run for the big project - a duvet cover (220x240).

The patchwork and overstitching part is done, so now I’m waiting to source some extra wide fabric for the reverse side of the cover, and to “back” the patchwork.
