programmes to watch

I ditched TV literally decades ago .. youtube is more than enough. Maybe a separate thread? Wondering if anyone here watched, long ago now, the BBC serial " Survivors" re a world wide disease wiping out millions. Although covid beats it ..Watching currently narrowboat folk on the canals. Wonderful.

 

Yes we watched it, watch a lot of YouTube but not for those sort of programmes.
Still like to watch mainly the bbc because there's no adverts,do watch a bit on channel four.

 

Last night watched this, the second part tonight. It started on Monday but always record things.

 

Love the sheer variety of youtube; like a big box of my favourite chocolates. I catch the news on the internet and that is more than enough. One of my greatest pleasures these enforcedly sedentary years is sitting abed, cats asleep with me, knitting in hand, watching whatever I want. Learning so much too as i can travel the world here. We are all different thankfully!

 

BBC one at 9pm on Thursdays

 

I got hooked a while on archaeology programmes on youtube. "Time Team" I think? The skill and sheer enthusiasm of those folk.

The ads on youtube drive me demented.

 

I used to watch Time Team when it was on ch.4, i always fell asleep, not that i didn't find it interesting, i did.

 

I've been watching this, it's a bit weird but good. It's on BBC one Sunday at 9pm

 

Watched this last night it was on this week, the bear got stolen from the sanctuary

 

Watched a bit of this lady on the BBC,
I like cooking programmes but don't use the recipes, just like watching them and maybe get some tips.

 

One very positive thing about lockdown is that it's made us find more things to do.....apart from watching 'catch up' A Place In The Sun in the evening ( to end my autumnal days on a sunny+ warm note) we haven't watched any TV....after 35 years I've even ditched Eastenders!!!

 

I was hooked on 'survivors' back in the day, it was acted out well and believable.
I remember them making up their own soap for washing!

 

@Upsydaisy i don't blame you for not watching eastenders anymore, it's not as good.

'Survivors' was a prediction of an all too possible future and god forbid, if covid 19 mutates to something worse this is just what could happen.
