Sorting out one of the spare built in wardrobes that we put things in that we're not using anymore but just in case that we might. We decided that we'll throw out the stuff that we don't want and I'm going to put all my card making stuff in it. The wardrobe that I've got it in is very difficult to get at because the freezer is in the way and i have to twist round to get at the wardrobe.

When these houses were built they put built in wardrobes, which are good, can get a lot of stuff in them.

Resting meaningfully; not much sleep the last while with the gales, so resting with hands busy with knitting face masks, with the cats coming and going. Nothing else today; there will be no post as the ocean will object to crossings, so deeply peaceful as the wind slowly starts to ease. Oh I have a body to dispose of, a small rodent, if it is still by the gate when I go outside again. I think it was left there for me to admire..

        Hello all

        I hope you are well.

I just got a phone call from my Hairdresser, she is taking bookings again :hapydancsmil:

I have now got an appointment for 7 July, no more looking like a Wookie for me.

        Thanks

        Kevin

I IDed the body as a long tailed vole. Been a long time since I have seen prey. The last bird was a few feathers falling from a mouth... When we came here, it had been empty a long while and as they had banished almost all the cats, my then three had a real task. No rats in the house but they had a run nearby. One dead one was kitten sized. Large kitten sized. I cannot imagine living deep rural without at least one cat.

Another day. Called home (Canada) and now wide awake. No plans for the day. Just knitting and watching various things here. Feeding the cats, inspecting the troops ( garden!) Sweet peace. Love it. Not fit to go walkabout and that is fine too.

Winding my day down and half asleep already. There used decades ago to be a TV ad with an old couple sitting by their fireside after a day out, saying," It's been a lovely day!" and that is how it is for me now. Small joys and pleasures. Finally checked the gale blown back patch, and am awed at how resilient plants are; even with wind withered leaves, new ones forming.
The steamed sponge is delicious; no recipe these days. lol I never thought that would happen.

And the sweet calm air over the ocean, benign and clear.

Been a lovely day; hope so for you too..

Over at my Dad's with my brother sorting through his stuff. Yes it is a very sad task but we did laugh at some of the things he squirrelled away and had a good giggle at some old photos. The house is going on the market next week , so lots to do.
