That makes sense. All intensively populated towns. Scenes of my childhood,

Over here in Ireland the Gardai threw out 60 young folk from a house party in Waterford. There is a situation in Cork with the same problem.

We have also had a surge in Sligo, A family who had got stranded in Iraq at the start of all this managed with the easing of rules to get home.

I think it's obvious why, but you mustn't say it.

But he wasn't a poor man and the lady's premiums went up because of it. My long-term friends in Tennessee, both in their mid/late 70s pay over $700 a month for this kind of insurance ... a total ripoff to me. That is why so many do without insurance there now ... as my nephew does.

Every month we put by the amount private insurance would cost and can afford to go privately if we so choose. Sometimes one may not want to go SNS/NHS. I have used both here.

If any of you have access to Twitter, I would suggest looking up Andrew Lawrence - his latest video is really funny (language is a wee bit ripe, but it is funny)

                Quote from Oxford brainiac:

“We’re very happy that we’re seeing the right sort of immune response that will give protection, and not the wrong sort,”

AstraZeneka are flat out making the vaccine.

Come on Oxford - the virus is rampaging through Brazil and India - we really need it...

Been catching up with local news; we are hurtling out of lockdown at an alarming speed. The Volunteer schemes are giving way to tourism etc. Thankfully my supply lines were in place way before covid hit. Our small area was doing over 50 shops a week and now down to 12.

Here I go again. Thinking, wondering. Perhaps there should be a health warning. 'Thinking and Wondering can damage your health'

Jokes aside. As we have seen recently, due to perhaps personal fears people have forgone visiting the GP surgery etc. This has bought about online consultations etc. No problems with this, as any attempt to stem or avoid covid-19 has to have some merits.

Now my tiny brain is asking. Could this be a new step into future medical consultations. For me. To agree to a medic checking me over. I have no qualms. Perhaps for some, if not many. Perhaps visiting the surgery and say. Doc! I've got this rash or whatever down below. This can be a real stopper for some. Now, with the computer and the i-phone etc. The GP can ask to see the area. This I can understand to be a great relief. However many medical diagnosis involve touching. Does that hurt etc.

In general. I am inclined to think that this techno consultation will become a futer practice. It will do away with the waiting room where many are coughing their lungs up etc. Online the GP may ask to see the spot/area. so you move the camera. No probs'

I must admit that there are times during all of this @Mike Allen that I think there has been a massive over-reaction to the threat from the virus (not least as we proved in this very thread that the infection rate is approximately 0.4% of our population); I also think that a lot of this over-reaction is quite deliberate. Remember the threats of causing 'chaos' from those who did not want Brexit to go ahead? Or those who are unhappy with Trump (including China because he imposed tariffs upon him) and want to smear him sufficiently so he doesn't get back in? Also note the likes of Extinction Rebellion are very quiet (although have been replaced by another 'protest' movement) - - and a whole lot of these roads lead back to the same people.

All conspiracy theories, yes, but there is a whole lot more to our current situation than just a virus - we are being forced to change a lot of aspects of our lives (the 'new normal' as they call it) and that includes online doctors appointments, working from home and so on. Our civil liberties were removed right from under our noses, and now those in power are able to do things (massive investment in cycle lanes, closing roads, forcing us to have online consultations and so on) without even consulting us. I've said it for years, and will say it again and again - we are living in a dictatorship in this country.

Aye, he does a new one every couple of days, but they are all good - squarely aimed at those of us who have sufficient intelligence not to be permanently offended at things, and to know when something is purely humour.

Ah, sorry Pete - I will PM you a link later.

Take Twitter with a massive pinch of salt, I warn you now - there are extreme views on both sides of the spectrum on there, quite a lot of fake stuff from both sides of the spectrum too, but there is also a hell of a lot of the truth knocking about - - the bits that our media don't want to show us as it doesn't suit their story.
