Mushrooms in soil

Hi all, I've got tomatoes, peppers growing in pots in greenhouse and keep getting mushrooms popping up. I've never had this before so will they do something to my plants.

 

Quite often they are an advantage, they break down the organic matter in the compost and make nutrients available to the roots of your plants.

 

Ah ok. So should I leave them or remove the mushrooms.

 

Well, probably best to remove them, the main part of the fungus is under the compost anyway so they might well reappear.

Magic Mushrooms, now your talking...........Could do with something to give me a boost (no not the Choc bar)

 

I have had this too this year, I assumed it was something to do with the make up of the growbags/compost I’ve been using (it’s been a bit hit and miss where I have been able to buy compost-due to obvious reasons), as I have everything in containers, thought maybe a greater percentage of wood material in the mix? Also with so much watering recently in the hot weather.
