@moyra thank you for your kind thoughts. They had to take her and put more drainage tubes and things in her. She'd been getting blood transfusions and they are now down to just the platelets and also getting various other antibiotics and electrolytes via i.v. It's going to be a long time before she is out of danger. I only got to see her the once because they needed me as a witness to legal documents because of her grave condition. I am glad to have had that one visit. She is allowed only 2 visits per week so obviously I would not use those but leave those open for my son. He will be stopping by here to pick up birthday cards from myself and my other son's family before visiting her today.

It has cooled down quite a bit here and the highs are only supposed to be in the 80f range. Very comfortable.

My granddaughter is still holding her own. I'm going to phone her in a little while and sing happy birthday to her. It is probably the most miserable one she'll ever have but we'll celebrate when she is better. Thank you for all of your kind wishes.

I've got lots of little chores to take care of today and to keep me busy.

It is cloudy and much cooler which is a welcome break from the heat.

Good day
Great news. My granddaughter has been moved to a regular room and is out of intensive care. She still has all the tubes in her but she is expected to get much better. They will start physiotherapy as soon as she gets a bit stronger and hopefully she'll be able to walk again.

I am meeting a good friend for breakfast on a restaurant patio. She is the lady that joined me in ziplining. We both sew and enjoy the outdoors so we have lots of great conversations.

It is only going to be in the mid to high 70's today so a comfortable day for just about anything I want to do.
