Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2020

@shiney that sounds nasty. I've got some nasty blisters on the back of my heels from wearing new shoes that pinched and walking too far. I'd rather have mine than yours. At least mine don't itch! Itching is torture. And I know this from getting poison ivy every summer whilst young.

It is a sunny day and going to be a scorcher, say the weather guessers. We just might hit 100f again. A good time to be inside in the air conditioning and maybe dash out now again to hand water what isn't reached by the system.

I do have bread doughs on the go as I have a friend coming by with some more maple syrup. His work had cut down on his hours because of '19 and he is selling other friend's wares to try to make ends meet. I had ordered 5 liters and he is dropping off the other 3 and I've got some cold beer in the fridge for him to enjoy whilst here. And I'll send him off with some fresh bread and buns.

Granddaughter is still holding her own and slowly getting better

All in all it is a day for smiling! Have a good day all.

My condolences to you and all your family @shiney , she sounded like a bright character who embraced life to the full.

 

Hope that you're all well today. A tad damp outside this morning so I will have my housework day today instead of tomorrow. That's the plan but no doubt I'll get side tracked into something else that's probably garden related !!!

There are thin clouds in our skies this morning and the guessers say that later there will be full cover and perhaps a dazzling thunderstorm. That would be nice. We need some free water and the last few rains were so light, you would need to run around under them to get wet! And the storm will mark the end of the heat wave and we will be back to highs in the 80's

Hospital parking is very expensive so when my son was allowed to see Samantha last night, he came here and I dropped him off for the visit and picked him up after. I think he finally has her understanding that healing will be a long process and that she isn't getting out any time soon. His surprise visit was cheering for her. I take him over Tuesday, Friday and Sunday nights this coming week. Lovely that she can see her dad!

I'm got some sewing to finish and I'll do that this morning whilst listening to three episodes of my beloved Corrie. Then I'll putter and tinker about.

@shiney I hope you were able to get your shoes on and find those pavers.

We got a nice little dump of rain yesterday so I turned off the main sprinkler system and can revert back to the low flow for the pots when they get dry. I've been asked to make some more masks. Only 11 and for a bachelorette party. A friend and client is holding a party for a mature bride and the masks will get decorated after I have done the assembly. I'll just do the cutting today and the stitching tomorrow.

Samantha is slowly improving so no need to worry there. She's in good hands.

I've got lots to do outside this week and I plan to spend at least 2 hours a day out there and with the highs only being in the 80's, it will be quite lovely.
