      Sitting in a car outside the shops this morning I noticed that 50% of those wearing medical masks had them on upside down.

      P.S. My medical mask in post #3437 above is on the right way up.

        Hubby has ordered some nose clips that go over the masks to stop his glasses from steaming up when he wears the mask.

        Will that stop droplets getting into the mask?

          @Logan I didn't know that you could buy nose clips! If I think a clothes pin would help, I'll squash the urge to use one and order those instead. :)

            They're a strip of metal with a sticky side, stick it on the top edge of the mask and shape it around the nose, it keeps the glasses from steaming up but the sticky doesn't last long but get a 100 for £7.99 can get a few different ones from Amazon

              Good idea Logan, I've been using a small amount of Microporous Tape to stop my glasses steaming up.

                  The people with them upside down had the metal nose strips around their chins.

                        Freebies given because of the Virus.

                        Our local Hardware Store called to each house with free jars of Hand Sanitation Gel.

                        The National Car Test was changed to a 16 month instead of a 12 month period between tests.

                        Insurance Companies gave a refund of 30 euro to each driver.

                        The good news if one can call it is the death rate up to yesterday from the virus in the 26 Counties is 1.763,..lets hope it remains that low for the future.

                          This virus has robbed us of many things

                          It continues to rob us of any certainty.

                            Us too Philip. At double your population we have almost double your cases but "only" 1,727 deaths and the majority of them (probably 2/3) are elderly.. Portugal has a very high elderly population (third in the world following Japan and Italy). I think the massive spikes in Spain and France are the younger generation socialising and ignoring rules. It is their lives but it is not socially responsible that they then pass it on to the more vulnerable.

                              @Vicoria,

                              Nice to see such low figures and as you say with a very high elderly population,..it is vey plain to see how the spread is happening due to socialising,..not distancing,..not wearing a mask,..of course the Countries with the worst spread are Countries with very bad leaders.

                              Keep well and safe Victoria,..also everyone else in Gardeners Corner.
