You mean like Johnson, they've got no idea.

His new slogan is Hands,Face, space and Test

Because i live in Worcestershire, i always look up the figures for that region. Usually only one to two new cases a day and the death rate is the same even lower. The Midlands is coming down as well.

From the very start he didn't appear to know what he was doing,..likewise with his master Trump,..if Johnson is asked to oblige Trump,..he does so regardless of the financial cost to the UK,..some sort of aptitude test should be carried out on people running for politics :),..i always think back to when there was Mad Cow Disease and a certain politician insisted that eating beef at that time was safe,..he demonstrated just how safe by feeding his young Daughter a Beef Burger on TV

The government are in a complete mess, they are stuck with the fact that the economy has to start to pick up, but at the same time do it in a way that makes it safer and keeps the figures a slow trickle rather than as before.
I'm not sure that can be achieved, but they are trying, very trying, especially when they make announcements late night that apply to the next day.
          That is taking the Pee.
As for stupid slogans, they have been just that right from the start.

I just wish people would stop saying, but is it safe?
No it's not safe, crossing the road isn't safe, but you can't live in a bubble all your life, just be sensible.

So, either schools or pubs can open.
            Not both...

Yeah it's crazy, but I'm guessing this is coming from scientists with an amount of politics thrown in.
Until you get schools back nothing is going to function anything like normal.
But then the unions got involved, once they get involved in anything nothing gets done.
              But pubs create taxes.

Trouble is we NEED stupid slogans to try and drill the message into and invade STUPID brains!!

I'm not political at all but in all honesty I really think Boris and gang are trying their best to get our much needed economy rolling again whilst trying to ensure our safety.
Yes things got off to a bad and slow start when it all kicked off....but we were all like headless chickens battling with the unknown.

Blame the government.....hmmm... OK:dunno:Everyone seems to need someone to blame.

Blame some of our fellow citizens who either haven't the logic to follow the recommended guidlines...or....protest loudly at 'not wanting to be told what to do'......definitely!

Everyone needs to get into the headspace of it being ' their responsibility ' to maintain their own safe personal space.....if so then all these safe personal spaces would eventually lead to bigger safe spaces.

But no...some want it all.....I need to go back to work....I need my holiday abroad....I need to go to the beach......I need to have a night out at the pub....I need to have a shopping spree.....I need to have my nails....hair extensions...eyebrows...bikini line done!!!!!

No you silly people...you need to try and stay alive!!!!!

For most Governments it seems to be a case of ' dammed if you do and dammed if you don't.
People are too quick to say what should be done..but often too slow on the uptake... just my opinion obviously!;)
Now how should I maintain my safety...hmmm...:runforhills: or just:sofa:.

@Upsydaisy I only go shopping when absolutely necessary (with face mask), follow distancing rules at all times, have cancelled all my holidays and haven't had my bikini line done.

                          Morning Upsy :imphrt:

I couldn't agree more. Obviously these folk have never had to do without. I need to have good health, a happy home, a few good friends and peace and quiet. That makes me happy.

                          .

You'll cringe, but T'other Half and I watch Judge Judy (we find it amusing) and TH is always saying this ... nothing is ever their fault and life and the world seem to owe them for some reason. Of course these people don't work but have all the new gear, the biggest TV, the most expensive phone, etc.

If I hadn't said at Christmas I would be retiring the end of June I would have been back at work for over two months now.
The place I worked went back mid may, the furlough is slowly being stood down so people will have to go back to work.
Yes some people will NEED to go back to work, you can't live on fresh air alone.
If you are one of those workers who are not allowed by government to go back to work, where does it leave you?
Might sound stupid but having your nails done is about someone actually going back to work , it's more than just having that person get some nice nails.

I do agree with you here. Of course one could live in America where it is more beneficial to not work (like $600 a week). Actually, I believe there are a lot in the UK who are better off not working . These scenarios are the Government's doings. I am not grouping everyone in the same arena and I don't for a moment think Upsy was either.

Put it this way, I was lucky and enjoyed some of the 80% wages a couple of months ago.
But that can't go on forever and it's got to come to an end at some point.
It was only 80%,so I can't think anyone is actually better off not working.

But having said that I'm not rich but I'm able to get by.
There are lots who live their weeks from hand to mouth and they are suffering, and they actually want to work.

Just pointing out that some thing that might seem trivial is actually someone's source of income.
