My tree lilies this summer 2020

My tree lilies which haven't been destroyed by red lilly beatles and their larvae. I am in constant fight with them.

Thank you. But it's getting more difficult to grow them because of red lilly beatles and their larvae. I collect them every day and still, I think, 1/4 of lillies haven't flowered this summer because of them.

 

A few years ago i made up a consented solution using a clove of garlic amongst other spices I used about a teaspoon to a pint of water and sprayed the plant.it worked well.
I will look for the recipe on you tube and put it on here.

Please could you tell me where you buy your bulbs from?

I don't use commercial pesticides.
I use crashed garlic + soap spray or neem oil +soap spray for all my plants. Unfortunately it is not very effective against red lilly beatles.

 

Some bulbs I bought at a Flower Show, others I bought at JParkers.
But these in the pictures below I bought at a Home Bargains shop. I'll try to remember other shop and I'll let you know.

 

My favourite lilies were bought from Gardening Express and Thompson and Morgan.
By the way, I forgot to mention earlier that when I bought a collection of 12 tree lily bulbs from Thompson and Morgan they were not labelled and it was not convenient as they were of 4 different names.
