Warm, woke up several times due to the heat last night ...still not heard a clap of thunder or felt a single drop of rain.
I know that I said the same yesterday but going by the forecast .....we could have both later tonight. But who knows!!!:dunno: Cooler today with a high of 28C that'll be most welcomed.:)

Aww @Mike Allen , I know this intense heat is very oppressive especially when indoors in the evening. Is your flat on the 1st foor? I know when I go upstairs I can actually feel the increase in temps. as I ascend the stairs!!! :phew:
Keep your windows open but only if they are not in full sunshine ,otherwise keep them shut and if possible close the curtains/ blinds until the sun has move round and use your fan. Keep up your fluid intake too with water based drinks...and even try to go without a tipple or two;) as alcohol will dehydrate you even more sadly.

Take care Mike....it will soon pass.:dbgrtmb:

We had seven minutes of fairly heavy rain at 7.45 this morning :hapydancsmil:. Then it stopped

At 8 a.m. a thunderclap shook the house (things actually rattled :hate-shocked:) then the heavens opened. 8.11 now and just drizzling. :noidea:

I have to go out later for a haircut. :rolleyespink:

started off blue but now the sky is grey. 25C and its gently raining. Air feels fresher and less humid and I have the energy to dry up the breakfast dishes.
Off to dust the upstairs soon....:hapfeet:

Well, we had a total of 29mm of rain, 22mm of which came in just 35 minutes, last night and after nearly 5 hours of sitting on top of my area moved on.
Right now, in Chester, the temperature is 77f and rising, the skies are partly cloudy, there's no breeze stirring the Flags I can see from my Office window, and the pressure reading is 1005.5hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Mike, this gave me a chuckle this morning. But seriously, I hope you can keep cool with your a/c and fans. xx

Started off this morning at a lovely cool 18c with slight breeze, going to 27c. In contrast to yesterday I was woken with the sun beaming in. Our bedroom faces East and we keep the windows / shutters open (have permanent screens). We also have 5 meter sloped beamed ceilings and a fan (besides a/c if we need it). Bed faces window so head about 4 meters away.. View from a few years ago now filled in by greenery.

Muggy and temp had now reached 28C on the kitchen patio. Every now and then a nice breeze cools things down nicely.
