Spring has sprung.
Going for a second crop on the Bramley???


Polyanthus.

Anastasia, not flowered so well this year,

Portulaca.

 

Protea aurea (with swainsona formosa below -unfortunately it won't get to flower this year)


Philesia - this year it graced me with 2 flowers...


A chrysanth bought with the terse label 'bronze' at a charity plant sale. Has produced an excellent ball shaped plant covered in flowers with zero care.


The asclepias tuberosa which flowered so well has produced some massive seedpods

 

That's a weird looking Protea @CarolineL .
I would never have guessed that was a Protea.

@pete yes, the bud looks very proteaceous (?) but is very different when it flowers. Unfortunately the flower doesn't last very long.

Probably a conophytum.

I think it relates to the ferocious spines, I could be wrong.
But they have radial spines and one hooked spine at every areole.
If you get hooked, you dont get off without some nasty wounds.

 

Outdoor melons.
Only got 4

 

And my beautiful peach, the only one, which I couldn't wait to collect and to taste at last, has vanished today. Perhaps a bird has had it for its lunch.
