@pete figures from the Office of National Statistics (which are the only figures that the government and ministers are supposed to quote):-

The majority of deaths involving COVID-19 have been among people aged 65 years and over (46,874 out of 52,482).

So that's 5,502 under 65's. You could probably add on a few hundred for the 60 - 65 age group.

That's something over 10% and will probably rise as most of the people contracting Covid now are younger.

According to your figures 41,372 people all aged 65 have died.

        That's helluva coincidence! ("46,874 aged 65 years and over", less "5,502 over 65's" = 41,372).

I thought the total death rate at the moment was less than 52482.
Are you saying 46874 of those were over 65?

        I make that 5608 under 65.

The thing is they were only testing a small amount of people back then, so how many younger people had minor symptoms is not known

Panic-buyers strip supermarket shelves of toilet roll amid second lockdown fears

"Shop shelves were stripped of bleach, toilet paper and other hygiene products in scenes reminiscent of March, when the first shutdown was announced."

I've been collecting car loads of apples from an orchard and will need every one of my 100 glass demijohns this year, but when I tried to adding bleach to an order(for cleaning ones left in a shed for years) I found it was unavailable, wish I'd bought more when it was readily available a couple of weeks ago. So much for "good availability".

So, the pubbing "yoofs" will disperse quietly and dutifully at 10.00pm?
                  Then go home?
Or get some more from the Shops and drink in clusters in the street or park?
                  It ain't gonna WORK.......:wallbanging:

Less typing to say I should have said 'under' instead of 'over'. :rolleyespink:

That's what comes of trying to type, subtract and carry on a telephone conversation at the same time.

Your arithmetic is still wrong and you have double accounted for 65s in your penultimate sentence.
