Not that exact one, but one on very similar lines, they are keeping schtum and only telling us what they want us to know.

His silence when she gave him the number spoke absolute volumes to me.

Sorry @SimonZ - NONE of us are to blame here.

I really wish that folks would stop and think about the vast chasms of inconsistencies that exist, and then apportion responsibility where it actually belongs.

For a starter for ten, it seems clear to anyone that has eyes that China huge responsibilities here - many believe the virus was manmade or at the least modified by man, and whether it subsequently got out of that lab in Wuhan by accident or deliberately is irrelevant really - it got out and then they kept schtum for weeks/months.

Initial information was ignored by our governments - for example, allowing goodness knows how many thousands to go on skiing holidays in February when the virus was on the increase was plain daft - but worse, this country carried on as normal until nearly the end of March before finally doing something. Even then, our 'lockdown' wasn't a proper lockdown. Folks still went to work for the most part, even if they were in non-essential roles. The 2-3 week lockdown lasted months, and still isn't really over. We should have locked down, but fully - nothing moves unless it is utterly vital type lockdown - back in February.

Mandatory masks were brought in for shops etc, but only once the virus had more or less disappeared for the summer - and this was in contradiction to a LOT of medical advice that said they do not work. We as customers had to wear masks in food outlets - I visited a Greggs for example where I was wearing a mask, but the woman serving me and making the food wasn't..... how does that work? You can bet your bottom dollar chefs working in hot kitchens are not wearing masks in the pubs and restaurants, but now you have got to wear a mask until you get to the table.

If masks work, why do we need to be 6ft apart? If we need to be 6ft apart, why do we need masks? If both work, why are cases rising? How does the virus know the difference between 10pm and 11pm in pubs and restaurants? How do shops reducing opening hours help with social distancing? The virus originated in China, yet the world went running to them to buy masks - is that not risking the virus being transmitted?

Crowded areas are supposedly responsible for transmitting the virus, yet if you are protesting for BLM or Extinction Rebellion the virus was aware and left you alone. Folks shouldn't go to the beach, but crowding on to Westminster Bridge to clap for the NHS and that is OK too. Despite all of the shouting and bickering when folks did go to the beaches and out for walks, there was no rise in cases.

The virus somehow knew to wait until September when the kids go back to school and the common cold season started - - the common cold that is a coronavirus that will coincidentally give a positive on a Covid-19 test. Snuffly nose season sent folks running for tests, and then screaming there wasn't enough - unsurprisingly, that saw positive cases rise (if we did more IQ tests, we would find more idiots...); folks going and getting tested with no symptoms at all. Who does that? Seriously, who ever went and asked to be tested for anything when they feel perfectly well?

Covid-19 deaths were horrendous last winter, yet the data is not accurate as there were many cases wrongly recorded as was admitted by the government. Coincidentally, flu deaths dropped to circa 1400 - odd that it chose to almost disappear?

Oh, and to cap it off Covid-19 can also tell how old someone is - 370 people under 60 with no underlying health conditions died of Covid-19. 370 out of a population of at least 66 million.

Folks are dying of cancer, cardiac problems, suicide is up and the economy is going down the toilet - and here we are about to do even more damage in all areas as we march through winter.

We'll be OK when we get a vaccine I hear the cry.... maybe, but I am not convinced. The vaccine for the flu is approximately 18% effective - are we to believe that somehow the new, barely tested Covid vaccine is going to be significantly better? The vaccine being pushed is of course nothing to do with one Sir Patrick Vallance having a £600k vested interest in a company contracted to make the vaccine - Revealed: Sir Patrick Vallance has £600,000 shareholding in firm contracted to develop vaccines

We are led to believe that a person can transmit the virus 7-14 days from infection, and that it lives on surfaces etc up to around 72 hours, killed instantly by soap or bleach as well as being susceptible to various alcohols etc. That being the case and if we really want to get rid of it, why don't we just stop for 4 weeks -- and I mean stop, dead stop. We've had time to plan things to make sure folks can have four weeks of food etc stocked up, so if we just halted everything but the absolute bare essentials for four weeks and made everyone stay at home, surely that would more or less kill the virus in it's tracks?

I am not for one minute saying that there is not a virus of some sort, but anyone who can see all of this and not think we are being lied to on a massive scale is beyond help.

Just briefly - I should mention the "we are all to blame" sub-headline is not mine - as with most sites, papers, mags etc headlines and sub-lines are worded by editors to grab maximum traffic, not necc. for maximum accuracy!

Thank you for saying what most of us are thinking.:dbgrtmb:

And I do think China should be made to compensate for the damage they let loose and kept tight lipped about!

This isn't going to go down well Rishi - loungers won't want to go back to work...

To be eligible, employees must work at least a third of their normal hours.
