Yesterday's gardening was limited to removing and burying poor hoggy and then cleaning out and disinfecting the hog house

I may do some gardening today, depends on weather and if I have enough time. Supposed to be making xmas coasters later on.

I have not done much at all over the last weeks, some big watering here and there, that's it. Mostly enjoying the garden, given we had some sunny days, and roasting stuff on the fire pit. Actually, it was very pleasant, just sitting there and be surrounded by my plants. Until August I realize it was hard for me to just lay down and enjoy the garden in total relax. I found myself thinking to things I might improve, plants still to be planted and so forth. I went back to woodworking, so at least I am producing lots of mulch, that's gardening too perhaps :D

But now the Winter is closing in. It starts feeling cold and I think it is time to cut the tops of the tomatoes, collect the squashes and call it a season.
It was a pretty good season all considered :)

I know, I know.. It sounded a bit too tragic, but I grow mainly summer veggies, so for me the winter really is a dead season.. Also, the house is very small so I tend and do lots of other things in the garden, the cold is a bit of a pain in the neck.

I have often thought about getting a good telescope. How I enjoyed watching the night sky whilst on holidays in the New Forest. Miles away from the city lights.
A friend once had quite a good setup. His was a reflector scope and had the auto mechanical gear fitted. This enabled the outfit to be set up, and left in situ. Whenever he decided to take a view, there it was, already set and focused on whatever according to time and the earths rotation. To think. Mortal man is just a speck of dust on the scales. Please share more of your hobby.

Could you share your recipe of cooking rabbits please? I remember from childhood how tasty rabbits roasted in sour cream by my Granny were. I have never been that successful myself as I don't remember my Granny's recipe.

@luciusmaximus keeps rabbits as pets, hence she was warning me not to visit!

We normally casserole, but this time hubby found a roasting recipe, which was lovely. There are a surprisingly large number of recipes on t’internet - have you tried looking there?

It's what I used to do, Mike, but Telescopes don't like rain, heat or dust and even a cover doesn't solve the problem. The Observatory allows me to walk from the Kitchen door across the Patio and straight into it. One flick of the switch gets everything powered up and ready to go within a minute. Everything is computerised and the Telescope will target a Star or Galaxy and follow it automatically, while the computer telescope mount "talks" to the roof which will move in line with the Telescope.
I also take images with a designated astronomy camera and the Telescope is a 12 inch Schmidt Cassegrain

Thank you for the reply. Sure I looked for recipes on Internet but there are so many that it is always better to use the approved one which was a success. And I believe your has been a success.

Hubby has just sent me the link to the recipe he used. His verdict on cooking it “really easy, stress-free”. It looks more complicated than it is, as it explains how to bone a rabbit...
