Some one asked in the street said she tried down loading on her tablet and it wouldn't work.

I'm going to try it on my laptop.

It's because all data collected is anonymous, nothing can be proven in law, hence there can be no fines. It's just another weapon in the arsenal.

From what I've read it could instruct you to self isolate if you've been sitting in a parked car with your windows closed/ventilation off next to somebody parked beside you who subsequently tests positive, or the other side of a full height partition wall in an adjacent room, and then you're legally obliged to self isolate for 14 days.

              So not Windows phones.

Nor Blackberries. I had to give up my Windows phone as apps and support dried up, forced to use Android which is cr@p in comparison.

My hubby has 'downloaded/uploaded' our phones ..(I don't know what they call it,all this electrickery gets on my wick)...so that means I have to carry my phone with me everywhere I go..I usually leave it at home as I rarely use it:rolleyespink:...I find it uite unnerving ,last thing you want is an alert plus who the 'eck is going to do every burgers shopping If I come down with it:rolleyespink:...

As for the Flu Jab...I've never had one before but this year IF there is any left after those that are vulnerable I'll have one.

The difficulty that I have with the app is nothing to do with privacy, but rather lack of accuracy - - for example, I will get false 'alerts' from Google saying stuff like "How as Sarah's Nail Bar" or "How was Decathlon Sports" when I have not been to either place - - I may have been parked nearby, or sat at the traffic lights in the same street location, but not actually got out of my car.

Amplify that with the fact that Mrs C works in a branch of Boots... we would never be done with alerts from the thing.
