History and Life does that, .........errr, what was your name??:doh::heehee::heehee::heehee:

I have enough problems trying to remember the names of the plants I planted years ago, never mind peoples names, Logan. I've visited Barnsdales gardens and Plant Nursery several times in the past but not recently and I must go back there.........

I think it's great for new gardeners as they can see different types of gardens set out to give them ideas of what can be done with their own gardens:love30::thumbsup:

All I've done in the garden today is pick beans, courgettes and pick up a carrier bag full of windfall apples - and dodge flying apples from the strong wind.

I've raked the lawns and moved lots of pots from the back garden to the front as the back is in shade for most of the day now. :phew: most of the plants are still in flower so fed them all too.

Today we’ve transplanted some lambs ears, a dwarf hebe that was a little crowded by an acer, and I lifted and divided some day lilies to plant in the extension of the drive bed. Some tulips, daffs and alliums were planted in between the plants.

I widened the border behind the pond a little, and planted a guara, and some ornamental grasses, alone with a shasta daisy. I topped up a large pot with the remaining section of shasta daisy, planting some mini daffodils and crocuses in between the stems. Were hoping it will be a breath of freshness in the spring!

At least this recipe doesn't contain any dead animals. Sounds quite tasty

On Saturday I planted some violas and cyclamens into a couple of pots. Based on @ARMANDII comment about cyclamens I thought I needed some pretty pink flowers to cheer me up a bit and the violas are a purple blue with touches of white. I stuck a few daffodils bulbs into the pots too. Weeded out one of the Belfast sinks, topped it up with some fresh compost and stuck in more daffodils bulbs. Set up the hedgehog house that I had cleaned out. We seem to be down to just one hedgehog now .

Yesterday I cut back some perennials and added a bit of manure I found in a bag. Not enough so need to buy more. Bit of weeding and then sat on patio for awhile watching my bunnies running around enjoying the beautiful weather and the birds running themselves on the hedge.

Yesterday finished planting up the containers with spring bulbs and bedding.
                          Hubby trimmed the pyracantha hedge.

A bit more digging over today and general tidy up before the leaf fall we have massive oak trees around us, beautiful with lots of leaves later to put for leaf mould.
                            The spiders have been busy.

Dug up a few hardy geraniums to plant 20 tulip bulbs and wallflowers.
Couldn't get all of the geranium roots out, i wonder if they'll grow back or not, soon see and weeded around a bit.

                                Not much today....

Trimmed the water mint around the pond edges, harvested the last patty-pan squash, tidied the dead leaves away from the spinach, and the courgettes, and swept up half a trug-full of choke berries from the pavement outside the house.
