Is that not a bit mad though - rather than having folks going to pharmacies/GP surgeries etc in small numbers... cluster everyone in the one place?

 

We can phone or email our repeat prescriptions to the surgery themselves (they have their own pharmacy as they are more than two miles from the nearest one - some sort of NHS regulation ) but they can take days to work through emails and ages to answer the phone. We use the alternative, they have a letterbox for them to be put into. I went there on Friday and there were only half a dozen patients queuing in the car park to pick up their prescriptions. It was raining and four of them didn't have umbrellas . Two of the men without umbrellas were wearing shorts! Maybe they should have been queuing for flue jabs as well

It shouldn't be too difficult to rig up some overhead shelter around the edge of the car park.

 

Not sure about that! Chaos is here already.

 

Or fudging the figures because they did not meet the hype....

 

There are so many holes - yet for some reason they are carrying blindly on down the same path. Even the numbers of tests being done are being fudged, and I know that for sure as I know someone who is being paid to take ten tests within a specified period; he works mostly from home, leaves the house to go into work no more than two days per week, and has so much stuff delivered that Amazon has him on speed-dial - he certainly does not go out shopping or anything like that. It is reasonable to assume that all of those tests are going to be negative, but hey at least the government can say they have done X number of tests....

Even the ones that are positive are then subject to a large margin of false positives, remove those and the ones that have little or no symptoms and the number that is left is the number we should be concentrating on and worrying about.
