I've heard that the covid test cant differentiate between Covid 19 and the common cold?
Not sure if that is true, if it is we are wasting our time yet again.

Apparently, they are putting it through 45 cycles/amplifications as well which experts in other countries (Germany in particular) have said is far to many to be reliable. Apparently anything above 30 is completely unreliable. The really worrying thing is that 9000 doctors and scientists have lobbied the government to change their policy, citing Sweden as being an example where there were no lockdowns at all, but the government have dismissed them out of hand.

Just watching a bit of the football. Not a fan as such.
Its totally crazy that no one is allowed in the stadium to watch it, but they can crowd into pubs to watch it.
Are those that are making the rules really as clever as we are led to believe?

Nobody told me but you assume the country's chief scientist has a bit of grey matter, so unless the politicians are totally ignoring what they say , ( we follow the science:roflol:), someone is a complete waste of space.

Headlines here this morning here and seem similar to ones over there- did all of these medics get together and figure out what lies to tell to pump up the numbers?

"Ontario death count includes people who didn't die of COVID-19, but exactly how many is unknown"

                      and part of the article:
"This means that of the almost 3,000 Ontarians whose deaths are included in the provincial COVID-19 case data, it is unknown how many of them did in fact die because of COVID-19."

I've checked every school within a 15 mile radius and none have a problem.

                          COVID-19 Map for schools

And when checking the local 'COVID rate around school', found the infection rate per 100,000 around every single school was declining over the last week.

Maybe your locality has a far greater area of snottery nosed spreaders than where I live, but it's not nationwide.

P.S. I did wonder if most of the spreaders from my area have now all gone to uni.

Would they record Covid cases at schools though? Surely more likely to be homes, and predominantly parents/aunty/uncle/granny that displays symptoms and gets the test? To be honest, I am going by pure experience with my own daughter and nieces/nephews in the past - almost without fail they would all go through the cycle of colds/bugs upon return to school. Partly, I think it is that all bugs flourish in the colder weather of course - the one thing that is abundantly clear is that all the problems started to rear up when the schools went back

But as I mentioned above, infection rates surrounding schools (that's what matters, isn't it - passing on to "parents/aunty/uncle/granny") in my area are falling.

But if infection rates are rising in other areas, there's obviously other issues coming into play.

The other issues being the common cold and/or creative accounting....

Apparently Richmond upon Thames is now a Covid hotspot. This is quite important to me as Mrs C works in Richmond and I travel there twice a day as a result (to keep her away from public transport) - - however, it is being called a hotspot because the number of cases has more than doubled.... to 112.1 per 100,000 (so, 0.001121% of the population).

Sorry, but if we need to be calling an area a 'hotspot' and citing it as one of the areas of potential lockdown for a percentage like that, then there really is no hope.
