Hi Scrungee, what you didn't see, as I had cut them away, were two nylon straps that held the pot in place and were looped through the bottom of the box, so the Tree wasn't going anywhere.:dunno::thumbsup:

@Victoria, are they from the same place as the Salvia Carumba you ordered? I have just placed an order for 3 plugs plus 6 Huecheras to grow on.

No, Clive, the above were from Giga Garden Center here, all medium/large plants. The Salvia Carumba was from Hambro Nurseries (ebay shar-pei). Thought they would be here today but it is a BIG monthly market next to PO so I think Postman avoids . Have ordered from him before and all good.

Bought some second hand pig feeder troughs for £15 each from a farm not far from me. Thought they'd be great for planters.
                        A52D41C5-D825-479C-8E58-F3ED43F1C218.jpeg

got chatting to the farmer who seemed really nice. Said he wasnt doing much anymore so thats why he was getting rid of stuff.

I seemed to recognise the name of the farm and googled it when I got home. I was distraught to read that the farmer and his workers were caught on cctv in 2018 with horrific animal abuse to his pigs. Absolutely sickening and I couldn't even watch the video. Well I'm hoping him selling stuff is a sign he wont be farming animals anymore. There was no signs of animals when I got there but think he had sheep out in the fields. Awful.:frown:

@Victoria, I ordered mine from South Eastern Horticultural, that Salvia looked worth trying.
