My post box was looking good today. Large brown envelope, DWP. Advance notice that my Winter Fuel payment has gone up this year. I can now look forward to £300.00 instead of £200.00 as in the past.
    I call that. Looking good.

I didn't realise that bougies were sensitive to lime, so perhaps my tap water isn't as bad as all that :-)

Mine just live in poor clay soil, have never fed them since I got them in 06/05 and basically they only get watered when it rains ... rain? what is that?!!

Pot growing means the plants are restricted as to what nutrients we give them, they cant find their own.

But it also means things like lime can slowly build up in the pot.

Must admit I've never come across chlorosis in Bougies but I don't doubt it can happen.
Do you think it could be a nitrogen shortage.

I don't know what @ARMANDII's water is like, but the leaves definitely look chlorotic. Had the same problem with just one of my lemon trees and an Abutilon. One dose of M-G ericaceous for each and they're looking lovely and green and healthy now. Seriously thinking about giving up coffee and drinking that instead :-))

Why give up Coffee?,:ideaIPB::love30::thumbsup::heehee: just add a shot of ericaceous fertiliser, and you've got the best of both worlds.

Chillis are going strong in the conservatory with the occasional boost from an electric heater :)

Hosta leaves turning orange but it's still flowering away. It's been a good one this year.

This just keeps flowering and flowering, I'm still trying to identify the plant. The 5 star lilac petals on these have been in abundance since mid summer, the foliage has serrated edge leaves, I bought half a dozen plants as a bed filler and mislaid the label but they have been absolutely stunning.

@pete @Victoria I've seen Plumeria growing (planted) in Cyprus and in Southern Turkey but even there I think they defoliate as they can get temperatures down to 6/7c occasionally in Winter, Sydney can go down to single figures, they had a layer of snow there recently which may have affected some of the more delicate plants there. I didn't see any on our visit, only in Darwin (which is virtually equatorial).
