Even if you have dismal weather (as we are suppose to have today) think cheerful thoughts or recall happy memories ......that is my new plan of action from now on. Too much gloom during the coming winter months is not good for anyone.

It is another cloudy day and it has been so gloomy that even the batteries powered by pv haven't charged up since Saturday. The weather guessers have said that tomorrow will be a sunny sunny day so the batteries will be fed and in the meantime, I shall get as much sewing done as possible. Don't want to waste a sunny day by being inside

I'll be going out this afternoon for an hour to see some wine people. My current supplier is retiring next month so I thought I'd find a new one right away. The fellow who is retiring is a lovely person and I shall miss going to collect my wine and the half hour or so of conversation we enjoy at that time. He really enjoys my hot pepper preserves such as the cranberry sauce and wine jellies so now and again I will still drop them off at his home.

Sam and I have no appointments today. None. Nada!! I only have to take care of her tubes and not see any medical people today. That is fantastic

Got my sewing done and a few errands finished so didn't waste this rainy day. Still one more load of laundry and I'll be done before cocktail hour

And yes, the only people who really have a right to grumble on a rainy day are those who only get paid when they are working somewhere outside. So cheer up. We're not forced to be out there in order to put food on the table

Good morning one and all, Still trying desperately to get rid of this exzema that has come up all over my body. The antibiotics only made it worse. I am going to get some exzema repair cream from Tesco, it is £17 but it if works it will be worth it.

@shiney you have been busy as long as you are keeping well that is the main thing.
@CanadianLori I hope Sam is progressing again ok you sure have your hands full.

It is just over freezing out there and cloudy but the guessers have told us that it will be sunny later on and I am up for that!

I've been printing off patterns and am Sam will be pasting the sections together. Then I trace the sizes (hers and mine) onto thin clear plastic. Fold up the big paper pattern and put it away and then stow the plastic copy and instruction sheets in sheet protectors. Makes keeping them handy much more compact doing it this way. Got patterns for tops and pants and dresses and a cape and on and on. Should be a fun winter with filling Sam's wardrobe

As the sun is shining I shall be pulling out the rest of the annuals whilst Sam will be baking soil in the wood oven. By the end of the day, all of the hanging pots will be refreshed and filled and ready for next winter's seed starting.

And since it will be nice out there, I'll barbecue something for supper too. A lovely day coming up
