I can't help wondering if Boris is getting the ground ready for a Brexit extension.
Hoping the pestilence will take the heat out of a climb down on his part.

      Warning! :yikes:

Tesco aren't permitting alcohol quantities in orders to be increased, maybe due to increased demand because pubs are closing for a month.

Sounds like the panic buying has started already, I hope this time the supermarkets start rationing from the start, instead of the profiteering that went on at the start of the last lot.

Half the problem is that people are spending all their time trying to work out how they can get around the rules - in an attempt to keep things, for them, as normal as possible. It's really simple - stay away from people who you don't live with. If you are forced into a position where you can't stay away from people who you don't live with then social distance.

Some people won't comply with the rules - whatever Boris/Mark/Nicola/Arlene says. They won't comply right up to the time they give the virus to someone they care for.

You watch - the Welsh shops are going to be stripped bare by people popping over the border.

Just destress, take a step back, take your mind to a place you like for a while, and then mull it all over..........you should come to the conclusion that it's all basic common sense of wearing a Mask, Washing your Hands, and keeping a social distance, don't go near "social gatherings". All the Media etc is fogging peoples minds, creating fear and suspicion, instead of advising people to keep to the basic common sense instructions. We're over questioning and overthinking things and becoming our own worst enemy by letting our fears drive our thoughts.:dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Tesco are so greedy! Their delivery costs are £4.50 any time any day now! And click and collect is £3. You can get delivery slots for £1 with ASDA and even free delivery with Sainsbury.

If my trip to the supermarket yesterday is anything to go by, hopefully we won’t see the panic buying we saw in March. The shelves were full, and all seemed quite calm. I wouldn’t be surprised if quite a few folks have already stocked-up with non-perishables. I also think first time round no one knew what to expect, so bought out of fear/greed.

All Tesco click and collect slots have been a flat rate of £1.50 for some time now.

I wonder what happens at Hay on Wye?

Sadly @Freddy, there are three in our family that work in retail (one being Mrs C) and the messages are flying round this morning saying how stupidly busy they are with folk buying tons of stuff.

As I said, all was fine here yesterday. But it seems you are correct, in some areas at least. I may be naive, but surely all folks have to do is buy as they normally would. I just don’t get it

Neither do I - it is deeply frustrating as we wanted to pop into somewhere this morning to get some wee thank you gifts (just some biccies and stuff) for the folks who have been fostering our puppy.
Ah well, that looks like me being more or less a prisoner again until next year, but what can you do?
