    Well, did the Welsh raid the English stores when you locked down?

    I think this just another part of the stupidity of it all, the whole of the UK should be singing from the same hymn book, not messing around like they are, it should be joint decisions on what goes on.
    I wasn't allowed to buy 4 tins of tuna in Morrisons a couple of weeks ago, they said at the till I could only have three.:scratch:
    Bearing in mind they were running an offer for two tins I told them where to poke the third one.:biggrin:
    Well look at the EU, with their open borders policy, "we dont need borders, you can roam to whatever county you want to" :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
    Then this lot starts and the border suddenly are back.:biggrin:

        Are they going to quickly have an early 6 person Xmas whilst they can?

        People around our village are already wishing one another happy Xmas and new year "incase I don't see you again before then".

              That happens in all the supermarkets all the time - not just with beans :heehee:. It has been going on for years. You should always check the unit prices :noidea:. Also, sometimes, the larger individual pack of something is more expensive per unit price than the smaller. Shops over 280sq m in size have to show unit prices on their shelf tickets but they quite often put them in micro size.

              You would think so but here is the extract from the Directive (Section 4):-

              "Food shops, supermarkets, garden centres and certain other retailers providing essential goods and services can remain open."

                Well, that will only apply to Stores like Wickes, B&Q, etc, but not to Plant Nurseries that are exclusively just that, Plant Nurseries (Gardening Centres).:dunno:..........and I'd rather give them my business than a DIY Superstore.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

                These "miss prices " and bogus "deals" are deliberate as it was found that about 20% of the public Are'nt able to do the basic maths needed to work out if a deal was indeed a good buy or not .

                  I also prefer to go to nurseries. :blue thumb: I haven't looked at any possible updates yet about the definition of 'Garden Centre' but I'm sure they will clarify it before Thursday. If they don't then I can see nurseries calling themselves garden centres.

                            Well, it is, pete:dunno:, but people like to be exploring to find any weakness or other possible interpretations in guidance issued regarding COVID 19 which, again, only adds to the negativeness of the whole bl'++++ situation. Again, to me it's just common sense but that goes out of the window when people want to poke holes in simple rules and regulations......possibly from seeing how the White House does it.:heehee:
