It's a beautiful rose, Cordy, and I'm looking forward to next year when mine is in full flowering flow next year:hapydancsmil::hapfeet::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

The Brachychiton looks good @pete but I presume it will need a lot of room.

I have only ever seen a red Callistemon flower again in the autumn/Winter so I was surprised to see my Callistemon viminalis Hot Pink flowering again. C laevis does have buds but flower later and usually get burnt off by an early frost.

Those are doing well @strongylodon! I've got a couple of calothamnus seedlings but they are starting to dislike the comparatively low temperatures in the greenhouse.

I am keeping the Calothamnus in the conservatory where they will be better off. If knew the Banksia was going to keep growing I would have repotted it earlier but now I will have to wait until the Spring. Mine were from a packet of 5 varieties of seed I bought in Oz but they were mainly Tasmanian seed, Kunzea, Hakea and two Melaleucas.

Very pretty but I thought C viminalis only draped down but this seems to have the attributes of C rigida.

@strongylodon , I've got Callistemon flowering also, the yellow one, I've got a feeling they are what should have been next years flowers, things have gone on longer this year, not a frost yet.

I'm googling Calothalmus, and only coming up with Calothamnus, I'm not splitting hairs, just wondering if its the same plant.
I had one some years ago, bought it at a place called "The Walled Garden", they had a really good selection of bottle brush and other plants, they told me it was fairly hardy, it died on me first winter.:frown:

My Banksias are doing fine, I was hoping to overwinter in a cold frame, I like to grow things hard if I can.
My Leucospermum will be spending winter outside this year with the same protection the Strelitzia gets, it appears to be budding up nicely and actually enjoying the rain.

Same plant, just missed spelt it. The Banksias will go in the greenhouse when I have wrapped it.
                  Not cold enough yet.

Had two frosts last week, the Begonias and Fuchsia Thalia all burnt but will be dug up soon.

Thank you Logan. I have four of them around the garden. It is a dark orange.

Yes Pete, it is just evergreen in the heat and flowers when our rain starts. There is a yellow one but I have it against the Tecoma stans which is yellow. I love it now as we are coming into colour. It was overcast today so hopefully can get some photos over the weekend. They are the type that root wherever they touch the ground.

@Victoria the Callistemon Hot Pink is labelled viminalis but as you say it looks nothing like the viminalis I have grown in the past which is the weeping one. Why it was given that name I don't know, leaves are more like C citrinus splendens.
