Hope everyone is well this morning .

Busy day here too today...if my poor body will allow .
Housework this morning, then I need to go into town to sort out a few issues for my brother this afternoon. Inbetween I really want to carry on where I left off yesterday in the garden yesterday.
Spent the whole day out there and really got a lot done...but I always like to complete each bit that I work on before moving on and I couldn't yestetday. I was in a lot of pain and am still suffering quite badly this morning, but I know its best to keep going otherwise I will cease up completely.
Never had such a bad arthritic flare up as I have had almost non-stop this year. It just might be the toll that this year has put on me, and my body hasn't been able to cope with it...:dunno:. Still doing all my daily physio exercises....but waiting on having the xrays taken, but I know they'll have to wait during the pandemic.

    Have a fab day everyone.:spinning:

          Good day
We finished with only about 4 inches of snow and it does look pretty. And the high today will be 30f.

I'm determined to clean out a cupboard or appliance each day so as to be all cleaned out by the middle of December. Yesterday was refrigerator day. All of the shelves and drawers are removable so I was able to do a thorough job. Today's project will be the linen closet. :)

And I will be bringing up the outdoor decorations from the cellar. Just a few strings of lights, a minimalist wreath  (really should do better)and a blow up Santa in his race car with Snowmen mechanics doing his pit stop work. It's an orange car that looks sorta the same as the real one in the garage.

And I'm going to vacuum the main floor :phew:.. with the roomba :heehee: so nothing strenuous, just dumping the gatherings

All in all, another puttering day. Cheers :coffee:

Thanks @moyra . I have suffered from it for 43yrs now and my brother for 44yrs he is very disabled from it. I took Volterol along with many other meds for years and years, but hated the side effects and potential internal damage that can result ( despite taking stomach liners). I came off everything about 5-6 years ago with my Drs support and decided to ensure that I kept really active. I was working at the time and that resulted in not just dashing here there and everywhere looking after pre schoolers but also walking at least a couple of miles everyday. My Dr did think that I may need to return to meds once I retired...but up until now it has been very manageable. I think that added to all the distress that this year has had on me and the fact that despite going on local walks and of course gardening most of my time has been dealing with more sedate things ....solicitors and paperwork etc. I think my reduced activity levels have had a marked effect. I'm determined to get back to resuming my activity regime , even more so once we come out of Covid.:spinning:

              @Upsydaisy :grphg:

You'll get into your rhythm again. I find if I've had an idle day that I pay for it the next. I've not got joint issues, other than one hip that gets sore, so I am very lucky.

I know that you are a busy lady and hope you get the activity you need before the cold weather strikes there.:dbgrtmb:

                Aloha everyone,

When you've done that you're welcome to come here and start on our place  :). You could have the summerhouse all to yourself. :blue thumb:

I got more weeding/digging done yesterday (not a great deal) and started removing the large patches of moss before my back and legs told me to stop. Sarafi didn't even bother to come out of the heated propagator to help me :nonofinger:

                Keep well

                Aloha!

As awful as a broken nose is-that's so funny. I used a hammer to break my window. I've got a new car now and this car is now the "dog car" for taking them out on muddy walks, tip runs etc. It was a 118d...at the time I was looking up ways to break in but couldnt find a better way!

That's exactly what I'm trying to do too, Lori. I've cleaned the "boot room" and a cupboard in the utility, the storage bench and the food cupboards...still so much to do. Got a few bits for charity shop but none are open to actually donate to.

Upsy, sounds like hell with the arthritis. My mum has recently had xrays as they thought she might have it in her hip but turns out its just progressed in her shoulders and luckily(?) the hip isnt arthritis-possible a trapped nerve. She's in agony all the time, but like you, is trying her best to do gardening. Hope you feel better soon. Does having a hot bath help at all? I mean as the heat gets the blood flowing better? My mum only has a shower so whenever shes at our house she goes in the hot tub everyday, but obv hasnt for a while now :(

I really should get the jet washer out today. The paths around the house are a state.

                    Good day
It's anĂ²ther gloomy day but I'm one of the lucky ones who isn't depending on outdoor work to get paid. :blue thumb: Going to be sewing a cushion cover this morning. A local upholsterer and I are "interviewing" each other. We'll see if he likes my work and I'll see if I like doing it. Could be steady pin money in the works and without the hassle of dealing directly with customers :fingers crossed:. I'll drop of the finished item on Wednesday as it is quite close to where Sam and I are going that day to get her bandage changed and replenish our supplies.

@Snorky85 I think I'll clean out the cooking pot drawers today. Notice I added "cooking" to the description. Didn't want you to think I've got a drawer full of pot :heehee: @shiney it's a deal but I also want some Reiki pointers from Mrs. S. I always like to learn something new when I travel

Have a super day all :coffee:

Oops..... better late than never!! :heehee:

No I never have a bath either @Snorky85 ....I just feel like time is wasted soaking in the tub. It would probably ease it for a while I expect.:blue thumb: I've got use to it and can normally keep my joints fairly flexible....I am really hoping it's just down to the change in routine this year, the xrays will reveal if the joint has seriously deteriorated, I hope not....:fingers crossed::fingers crossed::fingers crossed:

Lovely day here ,so I was able to spent the whole day out it the garden .... gradually working my way round all the borders. By 4pm though my leg was really complaining so I packed up for the day.
Still way behind in my bulb planting this Autumn, must make that next on my to do list .

                      Enjoy your evening everyone.:recliner:

Me too, @Upsydaisy @Snorky85 I just cannot see laying about in a tub. It takes me approximately 12 minutes to shed jammies, brush teeth, shower and dress again. I have a friend who can do this and also likes to lay on the beach and I am too restless to do that for very longs. I'll wade up and down the shoreline, come back and chat for a bit, then repeat.

I don't have a bath as I don't like them and, for many years, can't get out of a bath because of my knee. It takes me a lot longer than you to complete my ablutions. Shower, wash my hair, completely clean the shower (squeegee and then wipe dry - people say the shower looks brand new although it's many years old), shave, dry my hair and get dressed. Anything from 30 to 40 minutes.

I, also, don't sunbathe on the beach. Never sunbathe and keep out of the direct sun as much as possible unless exploring, walking etc. That goes back to my Merchant Navy days in the tropics when you would lose one week's pay for every day off work from sunburn.

                            Aloha everyone,

Another busy day. :phew: Admin, bridge, gardening and cooking. I'm expecting to have a few awkward phone calls today. I don't suffer fools gladly from big organisations or authorities.

NHS are going to be the first to have the pleasure of my displeasure. :heehee: I have received three emails (from 'no reply' addresses) and two letters, all asking me to download the Apps to my phone in order to make their communications easier and cheaper. I don't have a mobile and wouldn't download an App to it anyway. If they want electronic communication with me (saves them a lot of money on printing and postage) then they can email or phone. Test and Trace eventually emailed me (can't email back ) telling me to isolate for 14 days - 17 days after I was in contact with someone who, supposedly, had tested positive :wallbanging: . I'm going to enjoy this but shan't be able to report what I shall say to them

                            Keep well

                            Aloha!

I debating as to whether to make a disgruntled one too today. I had an arranged call with the Post Diagnostic Clinic last Tuesday with regards to my brother's recent diagnosis. There was one issue that couldn't be answered so they were going to check with the Dr ,either that afternoon or the next day ( last Wednesday) and phone me back.....still waiting!!!!

Had a sleepless night last night as my left knee /hip has decided to come out in sympathy with the right one and it was difficult to get comfy.

Damp ( ish ) looking day here, so may not get much gardening done. Will have a spell on my exercise bike and stepper to keep my joints ' oiled for action'....:heehee:. This afternoon I'll walk over to see how my brother is and to also cut his hair.

I am hoping I might get a hour or two in the garden tho morning...if it brightens up to make a belated start on the bulb planting.:fingers crossed:

Have a lovely and safe day everyone!:spinning:

@Upsydaisy hope you're feeling better. :blue thumb:

I enjoy my phone calls. :) Had someone on the phone yesterday trying to sell me home insulation. It took him 17 minutes to catch on that I was messing him about. He actually asked me why I just didn't say no immediately and I replied that I don't appreciate unsolicited phone calls. :heehee:
