That's why I wondered if the Oxford vaccine could be used in combination with a different type to achieve near 100% immunity, then those who opt for vaccination wouldn't need to worry about anti-vaxxers infecting them.

Just heard the new restrictions that are coming in after the "lockdown"

I've never heard such a complicated collection of restrictions in my life.

They're purposely made complicated in order to keep your mind active. :roflol:

Local restriction tiers: what you need to know

They're easy peasy. I used to manage construction projects under four different contracts with conditions each running into about 30 pages.

Sometimes I wonder if people are willfully misinterpreting the regs to suit their own agendas.

MrsH and I have seen the new regs, and really for us nothing changes. We will not be mixing with the family. To hopefully ensure the grand-kids still have 4 grandparents next year.
I will order a large tin of Spam and a small bottle of sherry for Christmas day for us both :heehee:

Well, lets face it, the "lockdown" has been a joke, because around here the cases have risen during the process as far as I can make out.

And what is coming after this seems like basically more of the same.

It wont really affect me either, because the "lockdown " has meant that anywhere I want to go is still open.;)
So to be honest I've not come across any restrictions:roflol:

But the new ones sound very complicated, especially all the things about mixing and how many people can mix and where and when.

Its little wonder half the people are just ignoring it.

Cases in my locality have risen by 33% since imposition of Lockdown 2, and I'm not surprised as virtually everybody is ignoring the rules.

When the rumoured Xmas relaxations take effect, everybody will go beserk and there'll be a massive spike in January.

So, actually, no matter what rules are set, they'll always be interpreted as complicated, negatively, doomed to failure, and ignored by a good percentage of folk who only think the world revolves around them.
The Virus's biggest friend is the very thing that it infects and kills, the Human Being, who's blinkered, inability to realise that we're actually aiding the Virus by not realising, or wanting to know, just how infectious and deadly it is.:wallbanging::doh:

What you need is a personable President who's really, really good at doing moving speeches :roflol: I've got to hand it to Macron, his addresses to the nation bring a lump to the throat and tears to the eyes, as well as appealing to everyone's sense of solidarity, citizenship and responsibility. We had the latest offering this evening but he's got his work cut out the longer this epidemic goes on. The poor chap's fighting social media, and every dumb know-it-all and complotist who think they know better and are invincible. The bit that really cracked me up was when he said he realised how much everyone wanted to get back to work....:roflol::roflol::roflol::roflol: He was addressing the French FGS!

And they no doubt, will be the first ones who complain when lockdown #3 comes along.

@Mike Allen I am sending my best wishes for a smooth procedure and a speedy recovery. DO plesse let us know you're okay as soon as you can after the operation. We'll all be thinking of you.

Well, turns out the stats have been misleading here. A "glitsch" in the data has heavily overreported positives. Example: Peel Region 487 , corrected to 175. Halton Region (my location) 61 cases, corrected to 5...

Infuriating to say the least. They shut down all of the little stores and restaurants in Pell bases on the original numbers. I guess tonight's news will tell us what the idiots are going to do to change the rules to reflect this massive mistake.
