What type of lights do you have on your indoor and outdoor trees FC? They look like a mesh. Very lovely.

They are all Argos, el-cheapo strings - around £20 each with two colour and two white strings outside and inside (so 8 strings in total); the tree is one we have had for 20 years now and still going strong - Woolworths job that we picked up for our first Christmas together.

Thanks @Logan - we decided to fit it in with me having a few days off work and also to cheer us up a bit. Normally I am Surrey's answer to Scrooge and the decorations are barely up by the second week in December :heehee:

There is also a wee additional positive in there - that tree is the tree that Mrs C and I bought 20 years ago when we got together, and we haven't been able to use it since I took ill. The last time it was up was literally weeks before I went into hospital. Being able to get it out again feels like a wee bit of an achievement.

That's very romantic and glad that you're better now, I used to put ours up a week before Christmas but i have other things to do. All the houses up our close have already got theirs up and earlier this year because they want cheering up.

@Fat Controller has your new family member tried to raise a leg to welcome the tree? :heehee:

It all looks cheerful. I've put out Santa in his race car with snowmen pit crew but haven't time right at the moment for inside however I usually never decorate inside until the 15th anyway.

I don't have room for a tree without moving furniture so I decorate other parts of the main floor to be festive. I'll show you mine when they're up. :)

Not yet - he hasn't actually raised a leg anywhere yet which is one of the giveaways that make me think he is younger than they thought.

It could be from 6 to 9 months, bigger the breed the later it will be, ours it was around 10 months.

Well, it's green and bushy so it's the nearest I'll get to gardening this week  Fortunately, the cats are old enough to take it all in their stride. Until a desperate mouse runs up the middle :yikes:
Will probably try one of these next year...:roflol: wackybaccy tree.jpg
