    I looked it up too :-)....if it's anything like C. nocturnum, it'll be fantastic! Tracked one down from a localish nursery, so thanks for that. You really do grow some fascinating plants!

      I've grown C. Nocturnum from the seeds you sent me, it flowered too late in the garden to have any scent for me ,nights were not warm enough.

        @noisette47 Thank you.
        C nocturnum is more tender @pete did you overwinter yours?
        I bought C elegans a few months ago and it is still in a pot so it will be into the greenhouse this next weekend and add it to the spring TTD list.

          I over wintered it in the green house @NigelJ ,then planted out last spring.
          If it flowered in summer it would be a much better proposition as far as I'm concerned.

            Even here it doesn't usually flower until July, so best kept in a pot under cover and hidden away somewhere so you just get the perfume :biggrin: That C.c.CP though...it's so much more attractive, hardier and scented too!

              I was thinking it was a short day flowering plant.
              But if you get it flowering in July it can't be.

                Don't know about day-length but it's widely distributed. First came across it in Greece, but it's grown in the French caribbean too. We've had this discussion before, though :biggrin: Loads of so-called tender shrubs will survive outside in UK and northern europe, but flower too late in the summer to be worth growing.
