No point, they took it all away :roflol:

Oh! you mean the haircut  :heehee:. No need, it was superb - as usual. I've been cutting her hair for 57 years  - and I've never charged her :loll:

Hubby cleaned the ceiling of the conservatory and i helped him with rinsing the cloth out and then i cleaned the glass of the sliding doors. It's ready to put the Christmas decorations and tree in it, but that will be next week.

Well my morning didn't go as planned. I had thought it would be a case of making lots of phone calls alongside my brother to try and establish whether all the various hospital departments that he's under all have the same info on him and more importantly do they all realize that he has Alzheimers and therefore can't retain info!!
They have been asked before to direct all communications via me ..but this is not happening.
Fortunately I was with him when a very disgruntled admin person phoned him from the hospital saying that he forgot to turn up for his pre surgery Covid test yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't know anything about this ( I would have reminded him) . However he did remember that he had to go to the hospital ( :blue thumb: well done!) and he did in fact go ( double :dbgrtmb:) but when he arrived at the reception area he had forgotten why he was there.....and nobody could help him!!:yikes::sad:
So we had to make a quick dash over to the hospital this morning to have it done ,otherwise there wouldn't be enough time to get the results back and his op would have to be cancelled.

Life is now so confusing for him ...I can't even begin to imagine what he must feeling and going through inside his muddled up head . It breaks my heart to think what he went through yesterday , arriving somewhere and discovering you don't know why you're there!!
I feel exhausted and I'm not the one having to endure all this either! I dread to think how he feels!!

Well I have just arrived home from hospital.....Again.
Went in last Wednesday for surgery on Thursday. That done and dusted. Home of Friday, feelin glad it's all over for what must be 8/9th time since 2014. Come Saturday, despite all the needle holes in my delcate skin. Discovered that although Mike's water works were trying hard. No water cometh forth. Pain increased so much, even the shakes began. Now becoming frightened, I reluctantly phoned Amanda. She & Josh soon arrived. 111 was contacted. Over an hour later an ambulance arrives. Off now to QE Hospital Woolwich arriving at 0344. Not a pleasant stay. Now home with additional plumbing etc. Good to be back, but for now. Mike is off to dreamland..........Oooo all those lovely nurses.

@Upsydaisy hugs and tears come to mind. @Mike Allen I'm glad you're getting your issues seen to and hope you mend quickly.

I had a weird day. I meant to putter and tidy and clean. Instead I baked. Baked cheese buns, hot pepper buns, baguettes, gluten free sandwich bread, cherry tarts and then grilled some pork chops for supper. Made pasta salad. Then went out to porch drop most of the baked goods and also picked up some groceries for my DIL who lives around the corner and to save her going out as we had a 7 inch dump of snow. And shoveled snow.

Then Sam and I worked on a jigsaw puzzle for a little while.

            An easy day. :)

Got a huge delivery of scrap timber (for firewood) dropped off into our front garden by Hiab today, gawping neighbours pay the equivelant of £200 for equivelant log deliveries, only costs us some homebrew.

That's great, have you had it before and is it right for firewood to burn in buildings? I only ask because I saw on TV people have the wrong sort and it can give off fumes that are harmful to humans and the environment.:)

                      95% Untreated timber :dbgrtmb:

I always take the lot as the treated timber (plus some untreated) gets used in the garden or at my plot.

I think it was John Seymour, author of 'The New Complete Book of Self-Suffifiency', who wrote "If you have an allotment, the dustmen need never call".

Busy day yesterday, mainly around accompanying my brother to the day unit at the hospital to undergo some minor surgery. He has more to have but that will be done the week after Christmas.

Today we plan to visit our parents grave to place some flowers on it as it would have been Mum's 90th birthday......just can't imagine her being 90!! She forever young ( ish;)) in our minds.

I was pleased when she said not using the machine to descale my teeth because there's too much water splashes that come out, i don't like all the water in my mouth and the assistant with that sucking hose thing that sucks it out can get a little too close to my tongue if she's not careful enough.
