They look like very healthy and well-branched specimens @mazambo. I think someone will be winning the blackbird popularity contest soon!:biggrin:

We use old blowaways in the greenhouse :blue thumb:. If the framework gets a a bit too tatty to withstand the wind etc. we just move it into the greenhouse. Also, if anyone is going to dump one we have it. Don't need any covers for them but they make good shelving.

The day has come. It's still November and the days are getting shorter, but one can always plan ahead and buy seeds and pots :hapfeet:

The pots will get a gentle sanding and a lick of matte white paint. The cylindrical one is for a very top heavy pillar cactus, I'll half fill it with stones and hopefully it'll stop falling on me.

As getting down on my knees while gardening is easier than getting up I've bought a Garden Kneeler which has a Tool Bag attachment although I doubt I will stop putting the Secateurs in my back pocket:dunno::heehee:

Just in case anyone hasn't used one and hasn't thought much about it, It can be turned upside down and used as a seat instead of a kneeler. :blue thumb:

Yes, I knew that. Had mine over five years although I haven't used it much. Mine is very stiff to open and close so maybe I should use it more.

I've had one for a couple of years and it makes getting up from kneeling sooooo much easier :-)

@Michael Hewett Pilea and Peperomia have seen a comeback over the last decade due to tissue culture and genetic modifying with all sorts of shapes and colours although I wonder if Rosso is a hybrid.
The Tradescantia looks like my T 'Nanouk' with large stiff leaves.

Thanks @strongylodon The full name is Peperomia caperata Rosso, It's the nearest I could find on line - it didn't have a name when I bought it.

The Tradescantia is probably Nanouk as you said, it's only a small cutting but it does have stiff leaves.
