Well let's hope tier 4 involves closing schools.

I think no matter who was in Government they would always be damned if they did and damned if they didn't:dunno::wallbanging:
If you go back and read the now many posts in this thread, how many posts have we had where people have whinged and put forward their "perfect" answers/proposals/theories as to how they have the solution to the ever changing rates of people testing positive and would kept the rates and Virus under control while pleasing everyone and without criticism.?:doh::wallbanging:
Saying that some people don't understand the things they have to do to stop the infections, keep themselves and others safe, because the guidance rules are complicated or because they have had to change because the situation has changed is giving those who don't even want to recognise the rules and ignore them is, to me, giving them some credence.
There has to be a balance between controlling the Virus, the safety of people, and Business and keeping vital services running until the Vaccines arrive and are in the arms of those who can take it.....................but, so far, I haven't seen a balance, or even thought of one, suggested by Scientists, Business, Local Authorities, the Public , or in this Thread that had the slightest chance of working without having to change according to the ever changing situation and therefore coming under criticism for having to do so.
The new mutation of the Virus is causing it to be even more infectious and transferable and is adding to the need to be flexible and adapt the restrictions accordingly, but will only add fuel to the fire and increase the whinging and whims of those who believe they know better than anyone else. Personally, I would rather spend another few years in the Hell of Aden, (you have to have been there to know what I'm talking about:dunno:), than actually have to take the Nationwide decisions that this Government, or any other Government, is having to do.:wallbanging:

Vaccine one week, new strain the next week.
          It's just too coincidental.

Saw all this coming looking at the stats early this morning.

            Corona Virus Treatment

            I predict:

Regional lockdown AKA Tier 4 in South
More Tier 3s to form a 'firebreak'
            School closures
Very restricted (if any) Xmas relaxations
            Delayed return to unis

Followed by reconsideration of the order of vaccinations to speed things up, otherwise loads getting vaccinated will get infected at the mass vaccination centres. Infection of patients in hospitals is beginning to become a big problem again.

Yeah, the Virus wrote to the Papers and made a statement on TV that it would change as soon as it new about the Vaccine......or did the UK Government get Portland Down to make it more infectious?:dunno::scratch::doh:

I think whatever restrictions are put into place by the Government the idiots in the UK won't take any notice.
This IMO has been the problem since March.
Give the Police more powers perhaps.

I really don't think there is a link there pete.

Vaccine one week, Liverpool win 7-0 the next week.

According to a virologist today this 'new' strain (she said mutation is the wrong technical word :noidea:) of the virus is the one that was circulating during Easter at the ski resorts in Europe - not new. The base virus that the vaccinations are aimed at are the base for both the viruses (and others) and the different strains don't change that. This 'new' strain appears to be more easily spread but, so far, is no more virulent than the original one.

None of the above is my opinion as I'm just reporting on what was said. Her qualifications were many and seemed to be quite good.

They don't use the powers they have - enforcing legal requirements, but they use 'powers' they don't have - issuing fines for breaches of non-legally binding advice.

                    They need training and supervision.

Nah, all they had to do was ship it in from China with some lithium batteries and blow up dolls.
