BBC: "a new tier four will be introduced in areas such as London, Kent, Essex and Bedfordshire"

Rubbish non-specific reporting, either it's just those areas or includes other areas. What they have stated is meaningless and confusing.

Tier 4 from midnight, but non-essential retail stays open until Sunday?

If this is what it's like now, what will it be like on Sunday?

Assuming they mean tomorrow night that they close, the shops are going to be utterly nuts. We went to Costco this afternoon as I had a feeling this was coming, and as we were leaving it was getting really busy.

Sky News (free) is once again is better than the BBC (licence fee funded)

"In a dramatic move, prompted by fears over a new strain of coronavirus, all those areas currently in Tier 3 in the South East - including London - will move to the new Tier 4 on Sunday."

I used to defend the BBC licence fee, but now want them defunded.

Been watching this coming and have already stocked up.

Thankfully we only needed some fresh veg really - Costco is easier for me as I can get round there with Mrs C.

Numbers are rising out of control, possibly because people see the vaccine coming along.

How best to make people be more careful :ideaIPB:, Invent a new strain, it transmits much more easily:yikes:
I thought the original strain was supposed to spread really easily.:rolleyespink:

                      I've ordered a turkey from a farm.
Am I allowed to go and pick it up on Christmas eve?
And throw it in the bin.

Or should I just tell them I'll send the money and will they throw it away for me.

Or how to scare them witless to make sure more folk take the vaccine....

Funny how new strains of any other virus require new vaccines, but this one doesn't...... and they know that for sure, despite it only being first discovered at the end of September in Kent.

Maybe it came into the country in a dinghy from France.
