As I said before, politicians and scientists running off at the mouth.
Tell the world we have a totally new more infectious strain of CV and see what happens.

Given that they have only just this evening rejected Boris' latest offer, it looks like he won't be getting any access at all. His fishermen are going to love him.

Not a great week to be a Mercedes/VW/Renault/Citroen/Audi/BMW/Peugeot dealer either.

Despite the fact that the strain has been identified in Italy and in Belgium already? As @Jack McHammocklashing rightly noted, it is entirely possible that it came in from France, in a dinghy as well, especially considering that it has been said to have radiated from Kent.

Funny isn't it - all fish life in the channel is considered to be the property and right of the EU, but any human life in the channel is the problem of the UK.

Yep, Boris has offered 25% and a time limit and Macron wants at least 35% plus no time limit.

I believe that, when the Foreign Drivers do finally get to the other side of the Channel,:dunno::heehee: Macron is thinking of being there to give them pamphlets asking them to vote for him as President of the EU.

Aye, the irony is that it is mostly EU based lorry drivers and hauliers that have been shafted by his decision, meanwhile we are a wee bit short of lettuce..... ;)

I haven't bought lettuce in 5 yrs, its not worth the money.
Spanish tomato's are pretty awful as well, they never ripen.

Isn’t it time we stopped seeking any opportunity to slag off those across the water? It’s all getting very tiresome...

I do know what you mean, but they do seem to be giving us every opportunity to do so.
They do seem to be going out of their way to be awkward at every opportunity

                            Light hearted fun on shortages:

Tesco - short of toilet paper
                            Sainsbury - short of bread
                            Asda - no fresh fruit
Lidl - running out of trombones and diving suits, more toilet seats in tomorrow.
