Hardly a cloud in the sky today, so wall to wall sunshine and calm. 4C/39F

Edit: I've lost the plot this evening, this should be in the weather thread.

 

In that screenshot, the ESA suggests looking to the W after sunset, but shows the sky at 7:00 AM. Do Europe have a 12 hour time difference to the UK?

If looking this evening, it's actually to the SW (just to the left of the Milky Way core) and will dissappear below the horizon by 17:30.

Unfortunately we have a hill in the way and the footpaths leading to it have be impassible due to flooding plus those on the slopes will be treacherous in the dark.

All on topic comments for this time of year when it's tempting to indulge in over eating, and it's awful weather for getting out walking, digging, etc.

 

Strange. I have remained the same weight for years. 14.5 stone. Back in 1984, I had a bad bout of shingls. It attacked the left side of my scalp, face, eye. I still get some nerve pains as a result. I was laid up for three months and lost half my body weight. A family friend suggested some kind of elixier. Tasted like weedkiller. It did the trick and I was soon back to 14.5st.
