@noisette47 nobody else has asked, so showing my infamous ignorance, what is lots and lots of string
I remember the Clangers used to eat blue string pudding, is it something along these lines ;)

Even the French don't eat string, (at least, not deliberately) :roflol: but they are into bondage when it comes to meat :mute: Even the simplest joint of beef or pork is wound around with the stuff. At least two duck breasts with stuffing sandwiched between do actually need it to hold the whole thing together.
I've got a cunning plan. As I'm going to be doing it, I'll know where the knots are :ideaIPB: If the worst comes to the worst, you get free dental floss with your meal
@HarryS That blue stuff looks really appetising, but then so do the clangers. In a suitable sauce, of course

Live on my own so a Lidl duck.

As Brexit is sorted I can eat my Geeerman duck with no prick of conscience.

Smoked salmon with cream cheese rolled inside for starter, and pud floating on a pool of cream and brandy to finnish me off. Hic!

Just examined our fare and it is an Aldi Turkey Breast Joint with skin covered in spices, yum. Have decided on Dauphinoise potatoes, Bimi and Yorkshire with Bisto Gravy. We will eat about 6pm. No puddings for us.

                        Enjoy whatever you are having.

                          Happy Christmas Vicky!!
Ours is in the oven now as we always eat our main meal around lunchtime. Aroma wafting around is divine.
No puds here either as brother isn't coming now , it was for him really.

Have a really super day both of you.:wub2::wub2::cat-kittyandsmiley::cat-kittyandsmiley:
