Yawn Yawn Wakey Wakey 2020

Good day
I just got home from the hospital. Sam took a bit of a turn BUT - after hours of meds by IV and lots of discussions with specialists, I got to bring her home. They were going to admit her at first but I pointed out that really, unless they were operating, I could take care of her at home, given the proper meds in pill form, and the paraphernalia for attending her current set up. They looked a little frightened of me, but said okay, I could pack her up and bring her home. So, she here for Christmas

I've got lots of cleaning to get done before end of day as I like things in top order for Christmas morning (same for New Year, well, I guess same for every Monday!)

And I'll sleep well tonight having only gotten Shineyhours of sleep last night and knowing Sam's home will make it a deep contented sleep

Sorry to read that Sam took a turn for the worse Lori, but happy to see that you've got her home with you for Christmas.

She's very lucky to have a Nan like you who not only provides excellent personal care and home comforts but also is so knowledgeable and able to administer the medical side of care too.
You're a true. Lori.

And it is now snowing so it will truly be a white Christmas! @shiney the medical side is easy, it's not brain surgery... and @Snorky85 I do plan to have a lovely day thank you . A neighbour just brought me some home baked goodies, another brought me a gift card for Tim Hortons, and others brought cards. I am extremely lucky to only have one stinker on the street

Good morning everyone!!!!

Beautiful frosty morning here too, looks quite stunning looking out over the fields and woods.

Lazy day ahead, everything is prepped and just needs putting in the oven around 9.

I was just saying to hubs this is the first time since 1984 that it's just been us two and no children waking up to Christmas.
They use to all jump on our bed in the dark early hours, bursting with excitement!! Lovely memories.

My brother now says that he won't come to dinner but will perhaps look in later. Bless him , I can't be angry.....

Well I definitely won't mope , I will do a quick video call to my older sister before she heads off to be with her daughter and family for the day then I might go out and mooch around the garden for a bit.
