Looks ok to me, is the Ypud hot or cold?
Not sure I would of swapped it for my BD breaky, I had a fresh batch of pigs in blankets, bubble n squeak, poached egg, with nice runny yolk.

I popped it in the Microwave for a minute to warm it up. My dinner tonight is cold turkey, pigs in blankets and bubble & squeek made with leftover roasties, sprouts, honey parsnips and stuffing. For some reason it has to be brown sauce with this. Nothing else will do although
might go mad and add a couple huge pickle onions on the side.

 

Absolutley agree with the Brown sauce on the B&S, and HP, just potatoes, Sprouts, and a bit of cabbage in mine, got to have a crisp crust to the B&S as well, not burnt, but just beyond golden brown. Tell you another favourite, take the cold pre fried B&S, wrap it around some black pudding, egg and bread crumb it like a scotch egg, then drop them into an airfyer or shallow fry, works great with Haggis as well, but got to bye a descent Haggis, not a cheap one thats all cereal, and yep, HP brown sauce with those.

Im a southern softie so Im afraid black pudding and haggis are not anywhere in the realms of possibly being a foodstuff.
On the subject of being a wimp somebody tried to serve me Tripe and onions once.......I say once........they didnt live long enough to try it a second time. The smell alone made me literally gag.

I too am a southerner, born in Margate Hospital, lived in Ramsgate, until I was 21, then managed to escape to Bristol, its my fathers side of the family, that are from the north.so you have never eaten faggots, mash, n mushy peas, with gravy so thick its almost slicable?

 

Opened an hour ago, I know your supposed to add iced water to release the different flavours, but I do like the warmth, and chocolate notes from having it neat, the back of my eyes are warming now

 

And to you young man, the winds are starting to whip up here too, it always ends up in a restless night worrying about the 1 acre of glass houses, and the possible repairs, and the clearing of broken glass, but that is for tomorrow.
