Today I got Sam to check her Covid test results. They did a test at the hospital in case they needed to admit her and the result is a big Negative. So far so good!

And then I read an email from a friend who had the runs and thought she might have the virus so she booked a test. Mind you, she is getting the runs after breaking her daily 18 hour fast which is part of her new diet regime...

And she said she hopes she tests positive so she will get it and be done...

I wonder if an previously unknown side effect is stupidity coupled with ignorance.. :rolleyespink:

Honestly, I thought she was a bit more clever than that.

So now we know why this thing is still getting passed around like a juicy piece of gossip!

Looks like Wales is going all out to beat it's previous record by some distance - 3rd Xmas wave on the way by the looks of the people milling around yesterday and today.

The total number of beds occupied with Covid patients is now higher than the previous peak back in April and, as of December 22, a total of 2,422 beds were occupied with coronavirus patients, representing 31% of all hospitalisations.

They've just reported on the BBC, lori, that the new variant has been identified in Canada.

How sad...it looks like those with cash will have to wait in line with the rest of the plebs...

At the moment, the only way to receive the jab is through the NHS, however there have been reports that private clinics are receiving daily requests from patients attempting to jump the queue.

Despite offering thousands of pounds, all patients will currently have to wait their turn to receive one of the doses pre-ordered by the government.

According to the vaccination website, a 70 year old sheltering coffin dodger (me) can expect a jab late January to February. Mrs H is 68 is due several weeks later. Would they give the vaccinations by household, i.e both of us at the same appointment, or is it planned for separate appointments?

Well if they did it by household surely lots of comparatively young people could jump the queue?

No, they don't do it by household but only by the priority list. :noidea:
