Given a vaccination rate of 1,000,000 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your two doses of vaccine and be fully protected by between 27/03/2021 and 21/05/2021.

                It's still a delay.

If the period between jabs has been extended 10 weeks, that means others should be getting their first jab 10 weeks earlier followed a second jab 12 weeks later, so their jabs should finish only 2 weeks later.

And Mrs Scrungee's has been delayed by 6 months, not 10 weeks.

Agreed. I also believe that the calculator is too optimistic on the vaccination rate, the figures I see are below 1,000,000 a week. So even more delays being realistic.

Mrs Scrungee has checked hers again, and it's been delayed a further 10 days since this morning. So after checking each morning how many more 100's of thousands are being infected, you can then check how many weeks your vaccination dates have slipped since yesterday.

Currently 50+ (up to 64?) are due to be vaccinated between 2/12/21 and 17/1/22.

                    18 - 49's between 17/1/22 and 30/6/22

Wasn't the approval of a second vaccine supposed to speed things up?

Pete, I'll buy you a drink. :heehee:

Checking where I stand in the jab queue told me that I'll get mine around 17th January. 2022. Well, apart from going on a mass murder spree there's not much I can do. If I open a thread along the lines "How to sharpen an axe with a nail file" just call the cops please ;)

I think, and again something they are not telling us, but I'm pretty sure they know, is are you still a carrier of the virus once the immunity kicks in.

Because that would then stem the flow of new infections.

So in theory as less and less people would be passing it on the virus would decline.
Which is how heard immunity works.

And, also in theory, you dont have to immunise the whole population

We have had this same non information from day one.
At one time there was talk of antibody testing, but that seems to have disappeared.

Well, again, chaos seems to be reigning in the USA as they're now investigating how over 47 people were given experimental anti-body injections in the belief they were the Pfizer BionTech Covid19 Vaccine.........:wallbanging:
