You should be....you made it through .....and have a future to look forward to, so many didn't ...and haven't. We should all count our blessing .

 

Thanks but what future? The way that they're rolling out the vaccines we don't know what will happen.

 

Oh dear @Logan...think positive!!
Compared to where we were heading this time last year and compared to what we knew then about the virus and last but not least compared to not having any medication whatsoever to offer us hope and protection...we're in a much better place now.
At least we have vaccines to roll out...many less affluent countries are not in our fortunate position of being able to purchase any at all. There are so many worse off than us....keep that thought in your head and you might begin to feel happier.

I had to give myself a stiff talking to and a good shake as I felt I was heading down an anti depressant path in November. So much has happened for me and my family last year , some I have talked about on here but some I haven't.

I knew my Christmas would be horrible, so I decided to only give positive thoughts a place in my head. I planned a busy Christmas day , doing things that I wouldn't normally do....so creating a new Christmas Day memory and not dwelling on past ones.

And it worked!!! I had a lovely day, albeit very different and oh so very quiet!!! Normally there are 9 or more of us that get together at some point on the big day, but this year just lovely hubs and me.....and modern technology...thanks goodness!

We gardeners are true optimistics , we naturally look forward into the future, we plan our gardens, sow and nurture our seeds...why? To enjoy during the coming new year. xx

 

Sometimes when things get a bit much, I seek solace in the garden- even a few minutes pottering here and there has a positive effect on my well being.
Being stuck indoors due to unpleasant weather here, it's easy to slip into doom and gloom mode...
so maybe just slipping on a warm coat and taking a look at the pond, a cammelia bursting into flower, a solitary rose frozen in time, displaying its beauty with a silent scream,'Look at me, look at me, I am showing off still , just for you'... can bring a smile.

Logan, give your lovely dogs a cuddle from me.

Thank you @Upsydaisy I know that you've been through a lot in 2020. I know that the garden is good for our well-being it helped me when i went through a divorce with my first husband.
