That's interesting because they are supposed to keep on record that you don't want automatic renewal.

On the point of automatic renewal:- they are planning on changing the law to make it illegal for companies to automatically renew without first giving you the opportunity to refuse. They already are supposed to tell you what you paid last year when they send you the renewal notice.

Some of the Banks software infrastructure is old, outdated and basically vulnerable so I will not ever use it, pete, so I don't bank online.:nonofinger::dunno::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

I've just had two emails from companies telling me tnat the automatic renewal didn't go through. Guess that's because I went in and changed the credit card info to have an incorrect last four digits, expiray date and CVV.

Started doing that after Sam's club automatically renewed even though I had not ticked the box to do so. And I cannot cross the border to visit their stores or been able to do so for almost a year!

and yet he somehow got cast as Jack Reacher who is 6'4...... what ridiculous casting! I kinda never forgave Lee Child for letting that happen. He sold out.

I really dont like that parts are being cast so as to adhere to political correctness and all that tosh. When they started talking about a black James Bond?????? He wasnt written as black! They pointed at Idris Elba who by the way is one of my favourite actors. And now Dr Who is all of a sudden a woman??
Its not how these things were written.

I wouldn't want them being that them are fake, not worth the paper it's printed on and if you use them they may get you into trouble

@shiney you're welcome to borrow my generator.

Neighbours... trying to stay out of disagreements. This covid thing is making enemies. Both of these neighbourhood fellows are usually very pleasant and friendly but yesterday, C walked by R and starting heckling R. C is self employed and R is a civil servant (school teacher) who hasn't lost a day of his generous pay and I guess R must have been stupid enough to use that worn out line "we're all in this together".

C was chiding him back with that same line as R was outside playing ball hockey with his son. During school hours. C is right in one way because indeed, we are not all in this together. Lots have lost their businesses and homes because they don't have secure jobs with the government and uninterrupted paycheques.

I happened to be standing right in the middle of this exchange and because we were all at least 20 feet apart, it was not whispered words!

Its turning neighbour against neighbour, and its the governments doing it.
You have hit the nail squarely on the head @CanadianLori

I think its really bad how some people are watching and and curtain twitching on their neighbours, the divisions being caused are worst than anything Brexit might have caused.

They have set person on person and some people are setting their selves up as judge and jury.

Just do what you think is right and sod the rest.
