Our rules changed when the curfew was bought in. 20-00 -6.00 some other areas 18.00-6.00. Previously we had to write out on a printed form where we were going and for what reason..which had to be either shopping essentials/chemist,Medical, Exercise with 1 km. for 1 hour,Vets...
now no forms to fill in unless you have an emergency in curfew times but can travel any distance for the *listed above.
I am sure it will change again soon though.
Your story you put up...you would think the powers to be could still use some common....

          Oh dear @Logan. !! :grphg:

We're all in the same boat here and yes this thread does discuss all aspects of living through what is an historical event in the making.

The serious side is undoubtedly of great importance......but apart from behaving properly ,which we on here all seem to do :dbgrtmb:, we can't actually change things. We also have to try to live through it, so on occasions what we can do ,which is equally important, is to try and look after our mental health and those of others.
To share a giggle and to try and bring a smile to the face of others as well as your own does not imply a lack of understanding of the seriousness of events. It just helps us all cope that little bit better.
I am certainly aware of the impact ,both on a personal, national and worldwide level ,rest assured of that.

If hubs and I sat here all day feeling sorry for ourselves ....well ... :dunno: We have to try and be there for each other, like on here...raise a smile/ giggle or two......think of it as mind medicine!!

Our life has changed as has everyones....I loved being out and about meeting up with family and friends, now we phone and video call each other...and have to admit we try very hard not to depress each other further with endless Covid talk...we use our contact time wisely to try and boost each other's morale.
You don't know how hard it has been and in fact still is for me to try and keep up a fairly good percentage of positive mind set. Not only do I try for my benefit but for my hubs too...visa versa for him to do the same for me too.
We still feel and care deeply for all that is happening around us though.

You and your Hubby take care of each other.

Things can only get better...try and keep believing in that. xx

Just back from standing in sub-zero weather in the queue for the dispensary at our surgery. We were standing about 10ft from each other and laughing and joking. Not much else you can do. :noidea: It seemed to keep the shivers away. :blue thumb:

But as cases (and deaths) are constantly getting closer amongst friends, relatives and neighbours, tradespeople who've been to our house, I want to keep aware and minimise risk.

I'm in the process of ordering the last of my seeds for 2021 ( before they sell out again), and making sure I have enough specialist feeds/etc.

And I'm even planning where I'm going to photograph the partial eclipse of the Sun from on 10/06/21.

But I'm not booking/planning any holidays.

Women On 'Excercise Trip' With Starbucks Surrounded By Police And Read Rights

"Derbyshire Police have defended the decision to fine the women, saying that driving for exercise was 'not in the spirit' of lockdown."

So, if I drive to the park to exercise myself and Fletch, am I breaking the law then?

It is senseless action like this that is causing folks to become fed up with all this and ultimately pay no attention to it because it is so daft.

The boss of Ryan Air was on TV earlier today.
He was ranting about the testing required to enter the country, and stating the government should put an end date to that as the middle of Feb.
His reckoning is that by then they will have vaccinated all the over 70s so there will be nobody in the country likely to become ill from covid.

The interview is worth a look.

Doesn't he live in Lincolnshire, therefore he's not a 'Londoner'

If 'Londoners' have been told to avoid restaurants, then they (Londoners) should comply, avoiding both local London Restuarants, and other restaurants outside London.

Hold up in the vaccine seems to be supply.
Surely as more countries ok the various vaccines the supply will get worse.
