    Mrs Shiney has been trying to sort out things that just sit around the place and never get used. She filled three boxes and then phoned a friend who works in the charity shop for a local hospice. In amongst it was a silver tankard that the girls at work bought my when I retired 20 years ago. It has never been used and just sits in the cupboard getting tarnished. It was a lovely present but we need to be practical as the house is getting more like a junk shop with our possessions of 55 years marriage. The tankard is something they can sell and put the money to good use. I did chat to a couple of my ex-staff about it first. :blue thumb:

    The charity are sending round their van at some time to take away about 500 books. They have a number of shops where they can sell books quite well. This isn't the charity that we support with opening our garden as they don't have a shop.

    At this rate we may get the house tidy in the next 20 years :doh: :heehee:

            Spent loads of time on hold. Again. With the money card people. This is the second card that will not work properly. Getting annoyed. It let me put money in the account but won't let me spend any :doh:

            And had a pleasant game of scrabble with Samantha. And finally got an opportunity to use the word zarf! :dbgrtmb:

                    Ooh we'll be playing scrabble on Friday night Lori...i bought a new set for xmas and it didn't get used. So during this lockdown it will be the highlight of our Friday night :rolleyespink:

                      forgot about Mr.W's plans yesterday and so when he just came in from the garden says...got all the clothes ready..me..ok..
                      Chainsaws at the ready...I just smiled:smile:..but didn't really relish the thought:nonofinger:..only an hour afterall:yawn:

                      Finished Mr.W very pleased with me and made me a nice cup of coffee...Only got told off once...'keep your eyes on the ball and stop kicking the sawdust about:what:

                            Good afternoon yesterday Iceland's delivered 8 bags of shopping left outside which I hadn't ordered I then phoned them up because I was concerned that obviously someone else hadn't received the weekly shopping,they said that they would arrange for them to be picked up later,this morning I phoned them again(it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get through on the phone) they said thank you for letting them know and I could keep the shopping ,so I decided to take the shopping to my local food bank:smile::blue thumb:
