I think / hope our (Algarve) cold spell is ending, but Central and the North will continue to "enjoy" it.

A sunless day with grey/white heavy cloud. The snow isn't thawing and more has fallen after dark this evening. -2C/28F

All afternoon and evening was dry but now it's raining again, it could be worse, it could be snow but you don't get so wet with snow when walking the boys.

We've had 8.7mm of rain today but it's arrived in various showers rather than a long pour down. Right now it's dry, there's no breeze, the temperature is 45.9f, and the pressure reading is 996.5hpa.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Thanks @ARMANDII. Yes and more to come next week unfortunately. The problem now is it's turning to ice with more snow settling on top, so it's becoming lethal to walk on. I'm only going out to feed the birds and de-ice the bird bath. I can't go for a walk either as parts of my road are icy even with a gritting lorry coming every day.

Your first picture has reminded me to do some 'window' shopping on the web. I need to start looking for a mail box. :)

I use an American mail box, Sheal, made out of Aluminium that my Brother gave me years ago. I think you can get them on the Web easily, if that's the type that might be useful to you. My Postie loves it as it saves him bending down and also from trapping his fingers in the Letterbox and he just puts up the metal flag to let me know I have mail.:cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

That's similar to one we saw in a garden a couple of months back and liked, but it didn't have US mail on it. We're having one when our front fences and gates are put up in the Spring to help our Postie too. The gates being wide, 16/18ft total it will be less hassle for him to tackle them and save him the walk down the drive, or more so the walk back up. :) We'll have to second guess any other deliveries and leave the gates open.

A mild morning but with a very fine misty rain that is drifting in the not quite still air.

The delivery lady (Sainsbury's delivery at 6.30 a.m.) says it seems very fine but she's getting soaked anyway.
